DIRTY TRIANGLE CHAPTER NINE.
His eyes flicked open and his breathing was heavy. He sat up on the bed and when he looked around, he knew that he was not in his house and neither was he in his room, he was in Sarah's room. He looked beside him and he could see Sarah on the bed, sleeping peacefully. He suddenly felt wet and when he touched his forehead he could feel the wetness, it was sweat. He had been dreaming again, the nightmares were haunting him again. A loud beep suddenly sounded in the room and Ron shuddered in fear but when he turned to look at the direction where the sound was coming from, it was only the alarm ringing. The alarm was placed on the other side if the bed where Sarah laid and he had to squint his eyes to look at the time, 4:32 AM. He hurriedly scrambled out of the bed and rushed to the bathroom. He had to hurry up and be ready for work as soon as possible because of the traffic. He hurriedly took his bath and when he came out if the bathroom, Sarah was awake and she was sitting on the bed.

He imagined her knit her brows together at the question and frown, her white face turning into a shade of red and he smiled inwardly. "We are going to announce our engagement today Ron, why else will I be here?" Her tone was high and though he had his eyes closed, he knew that she was fuming with anger. He wondered why the girl always got angry at the slightest provocation and he wondered if the both of them would last in holy matrimony."Oh." She gasped. "Don't tell me you forgot about this."He shrugged. "Maybe."She gasped again then silence. "Why are you always so distant towards me and everything that has to do with us, our relationship?" Her tone was calm and if he hadn't knew better, he would think she was crying. He did not respond to her and after some minutes of silence, he heard the door open and he opened his eyes to see who it was. "Run away?" Her tone was that of surprise and shock. She was shocked by what he said. Ron sat up too and took Sarah's hands in his and he looked at her, their eyes met and they stayed like that for a long time, just looking into each other's eyes."I didn't mean run away Sarah. I meant that we should get away, travel to somewhere peaceful just for a couple of days and just the two of us." He finally replied her."But Ron, what about our jobs? Who will be there for our work?" He laid back on the bed and when he did not reply her for a while, she too laid back on the bed and once again, they tangled their bodies up.He did not reply to her questions about what was going to happen to their work and she too did not ask anymore questions, if she was going to put her work on hold just to stay with Ron and have some quiet time with him then she was going to do it. He tried to sit up on the bed but he felt a weight weighing him down on his chest and when he looked at what it was that weighed him down, he saw Sarah's head. Her black hair laid perfectly behind her back and she looked peaceful and beautiful while sleeping, Ron couldn't help but smile to himself, he was so deeply in love with the woman.Sarah woke up some minutes after Ron did and when she woke up, she was still in the man's arms, his big and warm arms that made her feel safe and secure. They took turns to freshen up and when she was done, Sarah went into the kitchen to prepare breakfast while Ron packed their luggage. Breakfast was burger, cheese and chips. SARAH'S POV.After we cleaned the mess in the kitchen, Ron and I spent the entire day watching TV, cooking and cuddling. It was all fun and everything. Of course, Delores called. She called in the evening and when I received her call, she asked me where I was. "I've been fucking worried about you Sarah, I went to your place but it was locked. No one seemed to know where you've gone to. Where are you?" Delores fired immediately i received her call."Calm down Delores. I just went away to clear my head." I explained the best way I could. SARAH'S POV.The drive to our second destination was another long drive but not as long as the drive to the park. While driving, Ron and I played HALLO by Beyonce in the stereo and sang along. We also played I LIKE YOU by Post Malone and we sang along too. The drive was refreshing and though I was tired myself, I couldn't help but enjoy the ride. When we arrived at the second destination, Ron and I alighted from the car and I could see that we were at a beach. The beach was beautiful, the water was blue and the waves were strong, making beautiful music to the ear. The environment was noisy because of course, we weren't the only people at the beach but it was cold and it had a soothing sensation. Ron asked me to take off my footwear and I did, he did too.Ron walked over to my side and held my hand and together, we started walking to the sea. NARRATOR'S POV.The first thing they both did when the sky was clear enough was to pack up. They did not waste time on packing either, just alittle folding and arranging. When the packing was over, Sarah and Ron locked the cabin, got into the car and drove away. They were going back home and though the both of them were unhappy about it, they had no choice. Sarah was sad at how short the vacation ended but she knew she had no choice. Her career was on the line, Ron's parents were already worried sick. There was too much at stake and they both needed to go back. Ron wasn't happy either, his peace was cut short and he was going back to the insanity of his parents. He was going back to the hustle and bustle of the company, the tantrums of Lauren Miller, the scolding of his father and the only thing he was glad about was that he was going back to the eternal love of his mother.
