They walked rather slowly and when they finally got halfway through the aisle, Delores gave Ron a subtle hug and handed Sarah to him. "Take care of her." Delores whispered into the man's ear when they hugged.So when they disengaged from the subtle hug, Ron nodded at Delores and gave her a faint smile. He turned back to Sarah and they tangled they arms around each other, continuing their journey to the alter. It was a slow walk to the alter but eventually, the couple got to the alter and stood before the priest. "Beloved, we are gathered here today to witness the joining together of our children and friends." The priest suddenly spoke into the microphone in his hand, breaking the silence. "Is there anyone who is here that has a reason for this two not to be joined in holy matrimony? Speak now or forever remain silent." His eyes suddenly flicked open and he sat up, panting heavily. Even though the air conditioner was working just fine and the room was freezing, his face and body were still covered with sweat, his eyes bloodshot. When he sat up on the bed, Sarah too woke up and sat up with him. The way he suddenly woke up got Sarah terrified and that is why she woke up too. When she looked at him, he was sweating profusely and breathing heavily. She wondered what was wrong with him and what he must have dreamt of on the night of their wedding that was so terrifying. She reached out and gently touched his shoulder and when she did that, he suddenly turned at her and jerked back in fright. He was still afraid of what ever happened in his dream. "Calm down, Ron. It's just me, Sarah." Sarah whispered gently to the frightened man. It was when she said that that the man's panting began to calm down and the sweat began to disappear. She sat quietly in her car, her head bowed and placed on her steering. She was wearing a black, tight jean trouser and a black hoodie, under the hoodie was a black vest. The tarred road was a lonely and dark one but her car wasn't the only car parked around the area, it was just one among many and her car has been there for a long time, she was waiting for someone. She was still waiting for the person in her car when all of a sudden, a car pulled over and halted behind hers. The owner of the car that halted behind hers cane down from his car and briskly walked towards her car. On getting there, he opened the door of Lauren's car and hopped inside. It was a man, an old looking man. He was wearing a jean trouser too with an ash coloured shirt and a black jacket on the shirt. He got into Lauren's car and made himself comfortable. "So, Lauren. When uncle Philip arrived, Sarah was already there. She was seated and infront if her sat a cup of coffee on her table, she was drinking the coffee and whiling away time while she waited for uncle Philip. She had waited there for almost an hour before he came and sge was glad she waited for him, uncle Philip had promised to see her and he wasn't the type to fail at his promises. When the man arrived the coffee shop where they had agreed to meet, she raised a hand and waved at the man's direction. A sign that there already and when the man saw her hand, hr made his way to her table. He got to where she was sitting and sat opposite her, ordering a coffee of his own. ~~~~CONTINUATION OF SARAH'S POV.~~~~Distressed, with my hand unconsciously caressing my forehead, I turned back to Lauren. I didn't want to threaten this time, I looked at her with pleading eyes."Please, Lauren. Don't do this." "Then tell him, Gloria. I did not reply. I did not speak because I was beginning to notice some changes in me, in my body. I was beginning to feel weak, numb and paralyzed.
