Chapter 108

Celine Coleman POV

"Are you feeling sick? Do you need to go to the hospital?" I asked Claire after I pulled the car over at the parking lot in her apartment, but she slowly shook her head.

We were supposed to go for a walk after work, but she was so dull that we only did it briefly and she asked us to come home instead. She couldn't even drive, so I had to do it myself.

"I'm fine. I just need to get some rest, and I'll be fine then," She replied to me as she removed her seatbelt, pushed the door open, and stepped out of the car. I did the same and alighted from the car too.

I watched as she dragged herself toward the entrance, and by the time I got to the living room after she walked inside, I found her already seated on the couch. She looked like she had worked her ass off all day and was going to die anytime soon.

"Do you need anything? Should I get you a glass of water?" I went to sit beside her on the couch and held her hand.

"No," She replied to me, and I briefly sigh
