Chapter 0001

Livvy's POV

Seven Years Ago

I was walking into the ballroom that they were going to be holding Alpha Heir Timothy Ryder's birthday celebration. His mother was directing people to different areas to set up the room when I walked in to find her with my own mother laughing and smiling away as they chatted about who knows what.

The moment they noticed that I had walked in they both summoned me to come over to their side so I casually walked over to them while looking around at the room to see all the decorations that had been finished already.

The colour of burgundy was littered across the room with deep shades of it covering tables as well as tulle in the same shade laid across the chandeliers with twinkle lights cascading through them lighting the room delicately. Gold accents were around as well, from the chair backs that sat at the tables to the rings over the napkins.

Hell, even the roses had been dipped in gold as they sat in little vases on the tables while the dance floor area held tall stands that held golden roses as well with twinkle lights that rained down them looking like icicles.

Everything was breathtaking, Luna Dani did a phenomenal job with the set up.

"So, what do you think? Fits him right? Not too girly for his taste?"

"I think it is absolutely beautiful, masculine but still classically pretty. I love it, the best decorations by far here. Says maturity with a hint of darkness just like him."

I said as I tried not to sound sarcastic by calling him mature, he was far from it.

'You should be careful, don't want him to hear us give a compliment, he may take it the wrong way.'

Shayna said, making me chuckle lightly as the women looked at me.

"How is having your wolf Liv? Still an adjustment or are you two bonding well?"

Luna Dani asked me, snapping my attention back to them as the smile wiped off my face.

"Yes, I apologise, we get along great actually, we have bonded quite well already and it's only been a month since getting her."

"That's so fantastic, not that we were worried considering how strong you have always been even before receiving her. You will make a wonderful mate, Beta or Luna maybe?"

Her voice went a bit high as she mentioned me being a Luna, but I shook it off with a small smile. I knew that both Luna as well as my mother had high hopes of me being mated to Timothy, but I prayed to the Moon Goddess not to do that to me, I wanted to leave here and not be here forever.

After finishing up with them I excused myself to get ready for the party. When I came back a few hours later, I was dressed in a sleek black dress with a high slit up my leg showing off my flawless skin.

The dress was a high neckline with a completely open back so I wasn't able to wear a bra with it, not that I needed one exactly, being young has its perks my mother always says, gravity hasn't taken over yet.

My hair was down with it clipped back on one side with a gold hair pin that my mother gave me. I had on eyeliner with lip gloss along with a gold dust eyeshadow but nothing else.

I walked inside to see the party had already started when I found my table that sat my mother and my younger brother. He was twelve so he was only staying for dinner before he would be taken back to our suite to bed.

My father was standing up discussing something with Alpha Derrick Ryder, Timothy's father when he saw me. His eyes went wide as I walked in his direction with a smile on my face just as the man of the hour came into the room making everyone stop to look to see him.

He may be a dipshit, but my damn, he was gorgeous, standing there in his black suit that fit his ungodly body perfectly with a burgundy button up and black tie. His cufflinks were gold along with his eyes as they caught mine making my breath hitch.

'I mean, I don't like him, but damn would I love for him to ravage us.'

'Oh my Goddess Shayna! Holy crap, no, well, I mean, ugh...'

She laughed in my head, making me smile a bit as I watched him walk towards me with a scowl on his perfectly chiselled face, his lips in a thin line as I felt my father's hand touch my shoulder breaking the stare down we were having to look over at him.

"Father?"

"Go to the table with your mother Livvy, I will be joining shortly."

Nodding to him I turned to see Timothy walk to his dad right by me, his eyes still on me when I swear I heard his chest rumble as his eyes swirled gold while glowing as he looked at me.

After that I was treated horribly by him, worse than ever before as he would parade around Lexi who was an absolute bitch. I hated her so much, I hated them together.

Honestly I didn't even know why it bothered me to the point that it did when Shayna and I had both agreed that if I was his mate he would know and our parents would have been overjoyed knowing such.

We all knew that he hadn't found his mate yet, he told his mother he didn't sense her so she probably wasn't of age, which I found odd because Alphas can find their mate even if she isn't of age just yet due to their stronger senses. I would think she just wasn't within our pack if he didn't sense her, but he didn't seem to care about waiting to find his mate, not with the way he carried on with Lexi.

After everything time kept going by, school was always what I focused on along with Beta training even though Timothy and I have grown even further apart.

I remember asking my father at some point how I was supposed to be the Beta to an Alpha, even if only for two years, when the Alpha doesn't want me in his presence. My father looked at me with a sad smile before he led me to sit down with him, placing his hand on mine he looked into my eyes.

"Sometimes, some men don't think that a woman should hold such an important place within a pack, they believe that they can't be as strong or run a pack when needed if the Alpha isn't there. I worry that Alpha Timothy may have these feelings, they are wrong, I know for a fact you could run this place with your eyes closed, you are strong, capable, as well as compassionate, caring, and quite beautiful. I truly believed you would be a Luna, you still could be. We just have to wait for you to turn eighteen, then we will know more."

I couldn't help but feel small when he spoke to me. Did Timothy truly think I couldn't do the part of a Beta for him, was that why he was so hateful towards me? No, I feel it is something else.

On the eve of my eighteenth birthday I went out with a few friends to celebrate before my party the following evening. When we were out we actually ran into Timothy with Lexi, she was basically naked as she was dancing in a dress that was so short you could see her ass hanging out, and she wants respect as a Luna if he chooses her?

What a joke.

The moment I found him, he was standing by the bar with a few friends as his eyes were already locked onto mine making my breath hitch. He was staring at me with so much anger I just didn't understand what happened to our relationship.

All there is now is hate, when we were little we were inseparable even with the age difference, he always looked out for me until he turned about twelve I believe, that's when he became a jerk, calling me names, always telling me I was to little or weak to hang out with him and his friends, then would try to be nice to me when we were alone, but he hurt me so I stopped speaking to him.

Now here he was, standing there boring daggers into me when I just came to have a nice night with my friends. I caught a glimpse of a silver glimmer catching my attention to see that bitch of his jumping on him, her dress revealing her ass to everyone that stood around making me cringe as I watched her kiss him, he kissed her back but never took his eyes off of me when I felt a stabbing sensation go through my heart making me gasp as I clenched onto my chest tightly.

"Shit! Liv what's wrong!?"

"Are you okay!?"

I couldn't breath as I managed to look up to see him again, he had deepened the kiss with her before I howled deeply making people stop all around us when I saw him shove her off of him as our eyes locked again, a smirk played on his face.

'MATE!'

She howled loudly with pain slicing through her.

'No! NO NO NO NO! Shayna! Nooooo....'

I whipped my body around before I ran from the place, out the doors letting the cold air slap into my skin as I tried to gasp for air.

'He can't be, why? He would have known this entire time! For two years, he would have known, why would he be this way to us?'

I felt a shutter run up my spine before his scent surrounded all of my senses, the strong scent of a match that was just blown out with a hint of vanilla, it was intoxicating but when I heard his voice, goosebumps raised all over my entire body.

"So my little girl knows she's my mate now does she, how does it feel? Do you see me and now want me, finally, after all your years of ignoring me. How did it feel to come of age just in time to see another girl on what's yours my Luna."

My heart was pounding as I stood there hunched over catching my breath as Shayna and I forced the bond back so we didn't run into his arms.

"I'm not your Luna, Lexi is."

I gritted out between my teeth when I heard him growl before I felt his hands grip onto my arms tightly then slam my back against the wall of the building, he brushed his nose up from my jawline to my ear.

"You are Luna, you are mine, Livvy girl, all mine."

He crashed his lips onto mine, sparks flew through my body as I sunk into his embrace while he pushed his tongue into my mouth tasting me as I heard him groan while his chest rumbled.

His kiss was everything I had ever wanted, I was so overwhelmed by the fire he was igniting inside of me when I heard a scream before I felt him being ripped away from me.

Opening my eyes I see Lexi screaming about me being a slut, then a bitch or something as I tried to regain my composure while calming my heart, taking in deep breaths when I felt his touch leave my body.

"What in the hell are you doing with her! You said I would be your Luna! I gave up everything to stay with you."

Her eyes went to mine, hate filling them as she stepped closer to me before he gripped her arm stopping her from getting any closer.

"You know he may have kissed you, little Beta Heir, but he takes me home to screw me every single night."

He growled deeply at her making her mouth snap shut before his eyes found mine when I looked up at him, shaking my head as my brows furrowed as I waited for him to deny it, despite knowing it was probably true considering everything I had witnessed between them, even though he knew I was meant to be his.

He commanded her to leave us, her eyes widened as she growled before he shot her a look making her back away, when he came back in front of me.

His hand went to my cheek but I turned away from him, my heart hurt at knowing that he's been able to sense I was his for two years yet went on treating me horribly while messing around with someone else in front of me.

"You dare turn away from me!"

I turned my head further when I felt I could cry. At some point I heard my friends calling out for me, even through the mind link but I cut them off saying I went home, that I was sick.

"Fine, be the bitch you always have been! I, Alpha Timothy Ryder of the Blue Moon Pack, reject you, Olivia Regan Gilbert as my mate."

My eyes snapped to him, my heart broke as I looked at him, tears filling my eyes as he stood there, arms crossed over his chest as he looked down at me with rage filling his eyes.

Shayna had been so quiet this entire time until this.

'His wolf is cursing him, he hates him for trying this with us but you don't have to accept Livvy, you can reject his rejection.'

'Should I though?'

'No, this is going to break us, but we can learn to live.'

With that I stood up straight when he smirked while looking down at me, mischief in his eyes now when he went to speak but I cut him off.

"I, Beta Olivia Regan Gilbert of the Blue Moon Pack, accept the rejection of Alpha Timothy Damon Ryder as my mate."

I felt our tether snap as Shayna howled in my head but I stood there strong as I watched him clench his chest in his hand, feeling what I did when he kissed her.

End flashback.

I woke up with a startle, shaking my head when I felt something wet on my face to find that I was crying in my sleep.
