Chapter 2. Sean

2. Sean

Sean waited for Wynter to come, like he usually did, so he could see her once and then go to their lessons.

"Hey Sean," Wynter remarked cheerfully as she hugged Sean.

Sean returned her action by rubbing her back.

"You seem pretty upbeat today," Sean observed.

"Oh, it's just Hunter and me having a nice time troubling Harris as usual." Wynter laughed as she remembered the events of the morning.

Most of her mornings were the same, with Sabrina always giving her a hard time but then lavishing her with love.

Sean chuckled, "Poor boy, he constantly gets into trouble because of you two."

Despite the fact that he had never met any of Wynter's family members, he was well aware of the 'Kings.'

Despite Wynter's repeated invitations to meet her family, he always refuses for reasons unbeknownst to everyone.

"Come on, we're running late," Sean said as he took her hand in his and began going towards the classes.

It was very usual for them to do so, and they had reached a point where they were comfortable holding each other's hands and occasionally kissing in public, but they were much closer in private.

"So you're going to start your surgery practicals today?" Wynter inquired.

Sean was also in the same medical school, hoping to become a cardiologist. Thus Wynter and Sean had to split off and walk in different directions in their respective wings.

"To be honest, I'm a little frightened because this would be my first time viewing a heart surgery this close," Sean admitted.

"Did you try watching some relevant videos?" Wynter asked.

"Yes, but they are very different from real life; after all, you were in my shoes just a few days ago," Sean chuckled.

"No, I wasn't worried. Mama Iris offered me some advice on how to be calm in situations like this, and there is a difference between conducting surgery on humans and performing surgery on animals, no pun intended. Not to mention that you are going to operate on someone's heart by cutting up their body; at the very least, we have dealt with things like surgery on an animal's leg injuries and such "Wynter wrinkled her brow.

"Let's see how this goes," Sean said, dismissing Wynter and continuing on his way to class.

Wynter was friendly with everyone; she was like the girl next door who had a lot of friends, and anyone would feel comfortable around her, but she had no one she could call her best friend; she only had Sabrina.

Wynter attended her lessons, took notes, and made a mental note to begin her preparation because her examinations were approaching, and she would soon be a veterinary doctor.

Travis had made every possible arrangement for his daughter to have her own hospital and not have to look for work elsewhere.

Though Wynter refuses his assistance, claiming that she wants to build everything herself, Sabrina advises her that it is the least they could do for their only daughter, who has fortunes awaiting her. Even so, Wynter denies it, but Sabrina emotionally blackmails her, claiming that they have worked so hard in their lives so that their children can have a secure future, and this is the least she can do.

Wynter considered it for a moment before agreeing, reasoning that her parents are merely providing a foundation for her to construct on her own. She would work for someone else and give them a portion of her earnings wherever she went. She chooses to do the same here and donate a part of her earnings to charitable groups.

When she finished her classes, she waited an hour on campus for Sean to find out how his first surgery went.

After an hour or so, Sean had no idea Wynter would be waiting for him; he assumed she would have left like other days, but Wynter waited today as well.

Wynter was astounded to see Sean emerge with the sensible blonde he refers to as his 'Friend.'

They were always too close to be considered 'Friends.' They were actually stuck together.

Every time Wynter waits for him, Sean justifies himself by saying that they are just friends, even though they are really close, but Sean thinks Wynter to be naive, and she believes Sean's falsehoods since she has a heart of gold.

Despite her insecurity as a result of their near closeness, Wynter decides to trust Sean, her life's beloved.

Wynter and Sean met in first-year classes and have been in a relationship for the past two years after declaring their feelings.

"Wynter, you aren't gone yet?" Sean appeared surprised to see Wynter.

He instantly let go of the blondie's hand and tried to mask his annoyance at seeing Wynter.

"No, I wasn't expecting you. How was your day?" Wynter inquired after giving a pleasant grin to a blondie whose name she had forgotten.

"It was fantastic, Suzy," Sean replied, glancing at the woman.

"Okay, I have to leave now... So, I'll see you later. "She gave Sean a thoughtful look before departing.

"So, what are we going to do now?" Sean sneered at Wynter, and she recognized the expression.

"I need to go study for my examinations," Wynter explained.

"Or we could go to my house and pick up where we left off last time," Sean proposed.

Sean annoyed her since he was too focused on Wynter's body and didn't care about her mood or how she would react to it. He wanted what he wanted. Even though they had sex, Wynter was still too afraid to open out to him, and everything was in the heat of the moment.

Wynter would later regret not informing her parents about her connection with him because she felt she was breaching their trust, but she also thought her parents were always supportive and Sean was the love of her life, so she was doing the right thing.

"No, I have to go start preparing, and Mama Iris had asked me to come home early only arranged some family dinner in the evening. Maybe I won't be able to hang out with you until tests are done, and I waited today to know about your day," she replied calmly.

"What! Come on, and we still have a month for examinations, "He scowled.

"Yes, that's what we only have a month for." Wynter, although not a nerd, would take her tests seriously when the dates were published. After all, she wasn't going to take her studies seriously till then.

"Okay, this month is going to be difficult for me," he grumbled, but inside he was dancing for excitement.

"You should study as well," Wynter said, grinning.

"I'll try," he murmured as he hugged her goodbye.

Wynter got in her car and drove home.

Sean heaved a sigh of relief when Wynter was out of sight; he had other intentions with Suzy and didn't enjoy Wynter's presence there.

Sean was only dating Wynter because he lusted after her physique and her celebrity. He was well aware of who she was and expected her to assist him in his development.

He was like a scavenger, only praying for Wynter's body, and once he had her virginity and exploited her ignorance, he began seeing someone else.

Wynter, albeit naive, never felt pleased after giving herself to Sean, but she would persuade herself that he is the love of her life, which should be typical among couples.

She resolved to tell her parents everything in the hopes that the unease in her heart would vanish.

"Mama Iris, I'm back," Wynter announced as he entered the house.

"Wyn Wyn," Hunter dashed down the stairwell.

"Be careful, sweetie, and you'll slip," Wynter warned.

Hunter approached Wynter and hugged her. "Where has Mama Iris gone?" Wynter asked.

"Don't know. She said you should call her after you get home," Hunter remarked as she carried Wynter's bag into her room. He used to do that all the time.

Wynter took out her phone and dialed Sabrina's number.

"Mama Iris," Wynter said as soon as Sabrina picked up the phone.

"Wynter, are you back?" Sabrina asked.

"I just came in. Where are you now?" Wynter's question. "Hunter said you departed somewhere quickly."

"Yes, sweetheart, we're in Chicago. Mr. Adam was feeling a little under the weather, so we decided to give him a visit, and Arman is with me; we both flew this morning," Sabrina said.

Mr. Adams was Sabrina's trusted manager who had previously worked with Sabrina's father.

"When are you going to return?" Wynter asked.

"We planned to stay here for a few days to investigate the business. Do you want to come along? I can purchase the tickets, and maybe you, Harris, and Hunter can come, and we can organize a family vacation to distract ourselves from the commotion." Sabrina proposed it.

"No way, I have exams next month Mama Iris, and I can't afford to waste any more time. How about we go on vacation once they're finished?" Wynter proposed it.

Sabrina groaned. "Okay, there's no way you'll agree to it, so we'll attempt to return as soon as possible."

"I already miss you," Wynter said as she went into the kitchen to get a glass of water for herself.

"I miss you to baby and take care of Hunter though I had instructed nany ann everything."

Mrs. Ann was Wynter's nanny, and she is like a family member to Sabrina and the one stranger she trusts with her children.

Despite the fact that their home is heavily guarded and ringed by bodyguards on all four sides, Sabrina would go to great lengths to protect her family due to a significant incident.

"Okay, I'll see you there, and don't worry, like you usually do, we'll get food from JKs and behave ourselves," Wynter remarked on Sabrina's behalf and the mother-daughter duo chuckled at Wynter's jokes.

"All right, I'll leave you to it, and no junk. It's better if I ask them not to send it," Sabrina added.

"Come on, Mama Iris, JKs don't sell junk." Wynter burst out laughing.

Sabrina's father founded JKs, a restaurant company noted for its high quality and service.

"Okay, Mark and Chris will arrive later in the evening. I hope they don't ruin everything for you. "Wynter could hear Sabrina scoffing.

"Yay," Wynter exclaimed.

"Okay, that was a lot for you. Tell Harris to phone me when he gets back. I love you."

"I will. Love you too" Wynter dismissed the call.

Wynter went to check on Ellies, and the little boy, as usual, enjoyed his time with the family.

As Sabrina previously stated, the couple (Mark and Chris) arrived with several of items, as they often did when visiting the kings.

They both regarded Sabrina's children to be their own because they couldn't have their own children. They were going to adopt a child but were delayed because they believed they should take on responsibility only when they were absolutely prepared, and until then, they had kings to shower them with love.

"Uncle Chris, Uncle Mike," Wynter would always refer to Mark as Mike, which he enjoyed.

"Hey Doll," Mark said as he hugged her.

"Uncle Chris," Harris continued to meet them and, as usual, inquired about business matters, boring the crap out of everyone with his business jargon.

They all had a good time watching a horror movie after Mark had put Hunter to sleep, and Mark had purchased Wynter and Hunter their favorite ice cream.

"Thank you for coming, Uncle Chris; we had a fantastic time," Wynter and Harris said as they bid them farewell.

"Come on, Kiddos, why are you being so formal?" they said as they hugged them and kissed their cheeks as they exited the building.

After two days, Sean discovers that Sabrina is not at home. Wynter was studying when she heard a knock on her window.

Wynter opened the window, shocked. She was astounded to see Sean clinging to a pipe.

"What are you doing here, Sean?" Wynter asked as she drew him inside.

A sensible person would suggest that he had better options for showing up or that he could utilize the balcony that was directly next to the window instead.

"I missed you," Sean said as he hugged her.

It was the first time he had shown up at Wynter's house, and it was the first time he had shown up when her parents were not around.

"But we saw each other this morning," Wynter pointed out.

"Yeah, but I wanted to see you," he explained.

Wynter realized she was being impolite to him and decided to greet him.

They began talking to each other, and one thing led to another, and things quickly became hot. Sean started to lean in to kiss Wynter. Their lips were about to touch.

"What's going on here?" Sabrina's words boomed throughout the room.
