4. Breakup
Wynter was taken aback to see Sean exit the car with Suzy at his side, and she was frightened that something awful had happened to him.
What followed was even more surprising. He locked his lips with Suzy right in the middle of the college, without caring whether anyone saw them. He seemed careless, but at college, he never went near to Wynter and always highlighted the risk that someone may see them.Wynter couldn't move her body because of the shock. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. Her eyes were filled with tears. Her heart had been shattered. She gathered her courage and determined to face him.Sean didn't move away from Suzy even though he spotted Wynter approaching."S-Sean What the hell is going on here?" Wynter interrogated him.Despite his withdrawal, Sean did not reply to Wynter."Sean, come with me, we need to talk," Wynter said firmly, heading towards a remote area where they might have some solitude. When they were alone, Wynter remarked, "Tell me now if this is some silly trick you're performing on me.""No, Wynter, I'm sorry, but I love Suzy," Sean answered flatly, and Wynter felt the ground shift beneath her feet."What are you talking about, Sean?" Do you hear what you're saying? You've told me that you love me, that you came to my house, that you're my lover, and that Suzy is just your friend, and now you're pulling this stuff on me." Wynter's patience became thin, and she raised her voice at someone for the first time.Sean was surprised since he expected Wynter would leave him alone after he broke up with her, but she was ready to pounce on him at any minute and tear him to bits."Wynter, please listen to me. I apologize for what I did." Sean began, but Wynter interrupted him."Are you sorry? Now? Here I was worried about you, Sean, and now you come back and decide you want to be with someone else. What's wrong with you?" Wynter challenged him. "Here I was, battling for you with my parents, making reasons for why you couldn't meet them. I assume you didn't even plan to meet them in the first place," Wynter said."This is enough, Wynter. I'd want to address this issue right immediately. Please grasp what I'm saying, Wynter. I tried my hardest to love, but it was impossible. I have feelings for her that I can't even put into words. We began as friends, but I'm not sure when I fell in love with her. I am sorry Wynter. " Sean responded with a remorseful look on his face."What did you see in her that I didn't? It's not like you two met yesterday. Why did you make progress towards me if you were in love with her?" Wynter brushed her tears away from her eyes. "It's not like I pushed myself on you.""Wynter, at first, I was interested in the idea of dating a rich girl, and who better than Travis King's daughter, but trust me, I selected you because I admired your character, and that's why I attempted to love you, but after I met Suzy, everything changed. I now understand what genuine love is, and I apologize for disappointing you, but you are not my type. I wish you the best, Wynter." He finished his explanation.Wynter fisted her fist. "Not your type? You would have considered that before having sex with me and stealing my virginity, you rascal. You're claiming you discovered genuine love after robbing me of my innocence, and you don't get to make excuses. You slept with me despite having your so-called lover with you, and you claim to have discovered true love. Sean, come up with something more compelling," Wynter yelled."Wynter, what would I have done? I couldn't reject it since I am a guy with temptation. Don't pretend you didn't want it as much as I did." Sean rolled his eyes, and Wynter was done. She raised her hand and slapped him on the face."Enough, you've reached your limit. I regret that I ever trusted you. You claim I'm not your type, don't you? You, on the other hand, are the one who does not deserve me. But please tell me one more thing. Why did you retreat following the day you showed up at my place or were you there to be personal with me again?" Wynter screamed and clutched his collar."You know, after meeting your mother, I felt frightened, and I don't believe I fit in with you billionaires." That was a flimsy reason Sean made up, and Wynter could tell. His reasoning made no sense to her."Whatever happens, Sean, you'll know what you've lost one day. Whatever you did to me will one day come back to haunt you, in the same manner, your "Blinded Dreams" which I valued. You will be broken in the same way." Wynter cursed him."Whatever it is, Wynter," Sean murmured as he moved away from the scene.Wynter burst into tears as soon as Sean was out of sight. She couldn't take it any longer. This was her first betrayal, and she had no idea where she had gone wrong. She tried everything she could to be worthy of his respect. She went to great lengths to satisfy him, and now the same person has deceived her. She had so many hopes constructed particularly for them, but they were all smashed in an instant."Wynter," one of her classmates called out, and she dashed up to her. "Hey, are you okay? Why are you sobbing?" Jessica inquired, concerned about Wynter's appearance on the ground. She encouraged Wynter to stand. "Are you okay?" Do you have a fever? Do you wish to return home? Jessica volunteered to drop you off."No, I'm OK. Let's go to class." Wynter didn't want any attention focused on her. She simply wanted to get through the day so she could go vent her anger in her bedroom.Even though she was in class, she was not paying attention to the lectures as she usually did. Instead, her thoughts were drawn to Sean and her parents' concerned expressions. She was sorry she hadn't spoken something to them sooner. She wished she had listened to her parents' advice before taking this critical move. Furthermore, she felt silly for being so misled by Sean's phony love story that she didn't notice he was using her.Her brain began to hurt from all of her overthinking. She blinked her eyes, attempting to focus on the lecture in order to divert herself, but nothing worked. Everything appeared to whirl around her, and suddenly darkness engulfed her, causing her to tumble from her seat.Everyone around her was taken aback. The instructor arrived swiftly and decided to contact Wynter's parents as soon as possible. When Sabrina received the call, she panicked and went to the hospital where Wynter was being treated. As soon as they saw her, "Mrs. King," Jessica, and Wynter's professor approached her."What happened to her?" Sabrina questioned, taking a deep breath. "She passed out in class, Mrs. King, and Jessica said she discovered her weeping before the lectures." The lecturer explained briefly,"What was she crying about?" Sabrina forwarded her inquiry to Jessica."I don't know Mrs. King. I asked her what it was, but she refused to tell me." Sabrina furrowed her brow in a scowl. She couldn't understand what was wrong with Wynter. She dashed inside and exhaled a sigh of relief when the doctor said Wynter was OK and only needed some rest.Travis, who had received the call just as he was finishing up with Hunter, went to the hospital and joined Sabrina."What happened to my Wyn Wyn, Mama Iris?" Hunter asked."Nothing, honey; she was simply exhausted and hadn't eaten lunch, so she collapsed." Sabrina calmed Hunter down. He was quite connected to Wynter, and his small heart couldn't bear the thought of his sister lying in a hospital bed."Nothing to be concerned about, doctor?" Travis asked."Nothing, Mr. King, she was simply weary and upset over something she will wake up to whenever you can maybe talk to her about," the doctor said."OK, thank you," Travis said, dismissing him.Wynter soon opened her eyes.Travis approached her and was relieved to see his daughter was unharmed.Wynter held her head as images of Sean breaking up with her flashed through her mind."Baby, don't worry about anything, just relax, okay?" Sabrina stated"Can I have some alone time, Mama Iris?" Wynter requested\sSabrina and Travis exchanged glances. They were aware that something was awry, but they chose not to worry Wynter.Wynter burst into tears as soon as Sabrina and Travis left. She couldn't bear the pain of betrayal. She had hoped to spend her life with Sean, but her hopes had been dashed. They came home the next day, and Wynter avoided speaking to anybody, claiming that she was too busy with her studies, which she accomplished by immersing herself more and more in her studies.Soon, her exams would begin, and she would avoid speaking to anybody. She would go write her exams and return straight to home whenever her parents tried to speak to her. She will do anything to avoid them. Sabrina and Travis planned to talk to her just after she finished her examinations.Wynter was once again studying, as she always was. Tomorrow was the last day of her exam, and she was pleased that she wouldn't have to return to the place.Wynter expected to be freed of all kinds of tension, and then she planned to go on and attempt to love someone who deserved her heart. She felt nauseated and dizzy as soon as she finished her studies. She tried to get out of her chair, but she was about to lose her composure. She grasped the table's edge for support. She shook her head to get rid of the dizziness, but it didn't go away. She had an overwhelming want to throw off. She dashed into the restroom and emptied her stomach.Something suddenly occurred to her. She hadn't had her period in nearly a month, and she was always on time. She came to a conclusion about what may go wrong. She wanted it was for the tension she was drowning in, but she wasn't sure. She couldn't help but get a pregnancy kit online, and while it was being delivered, she couldn't stop fiddling with her hands. She wasn't prepared to have a child. She was terrified about having to raise him without a father figure in his life. When her order arrived, she crept out and grabbed the test kits for her room. There were five of them, all from different manufacturers. She was on the edge of tears as she took the tests and awaited the results.Wynter gasped as all of the tests came back positive. If you like the story, please consider reviewing it.
5. Pregnant and BetrayedWynter shuddered as she read the pregnancy report. She had no idea she would become pregnant at such a young age, never alone at a time when she was still dealing with heartbreak. Her initial inclination was to go tell her mother everything, but she held back because she was afraid she would be judged. Her parents' warnings continued to ring in her ears. They were always urging her to be cautious around him, and she was, but only after all the harm had been done.Tears streamed down her cheeks, and she sank to the ground. She had no idea where to go or what to do.She brushed her tears away and resolved to contact Sean the next day and attempt to straighten things out between them. If she didn't succeed, she resolved to abort the kid. When a knock came on the door, Wynter trembled."Are you awake, Wynter?" Sabrina had called. She immediately exited the bathroom after pouring some water on her face and one final peek in the mirror. She took a deep breath and op
6. ConfrontationWynter was laying in her hospital bed, thinking and staring at the monitor. She wishes she had someone by her side to assist her in making the proper decision. She had just swiped her card and walked inside the room with shaking feet."OK, Wynter, are you certain about your decision, or is there any outside pressure on you?" Out of duty, the doctor questioned Wynter, to which she gulped and shook her head no."Okay, let me explain the implications since there is no turning back now. Because you are still in your first trimester, abortion is quite simple for you because the baby has not yet matured. We wouldn't need any surgeries; only some medicine at regular intervals would suffice." The doctor continued her explanation by recommending one more scan to assess how well Wynter's body would tolerate the meds she would prescribe later."All right, I'm prepared." Wynter nodded as a shiver went over her chest as if she wasn't doing the proper thing.Wynter gasped when she
7. Arrangements"Harris, you better take that box and put it in the appropriate place right away," Wynter snarled, hurling commands at him.Three months have passed after the tragedy, and Wynter has moved on with her life, forgetting about Sean. She realized that moving on from Sean was a wiser option as she got older. It was to forget about him.She realized that even if she had gotten him, they would not have had the future Wynter envisioned, so she opted to raise the kid alone and not even tell Sean about its existence. She had already completed the legal paperwork by presenting the case to their lawyer, and they cheerfully notified Wynter that she would be solely responsible for her baby's upbringing. So, after a week of Wynter finishing her internships, they are preparing to open Wynter's vet clinic, which explains the turmoil when they were setting everything up.Her family was always there to help her with anything she needed."Where should I put this artifact, Mama Iris?" Wynte
8. Stranger "Hey, little one, I hope you're doing well now." Wynter stroked the fur of the lovely white cat in front of her."Yes, Olive is doing well right now. He has begun to eat and is also pretty busy around his toys." Wynter was notified by the woman who had brought the cat for the check-up.It had been almost a week since they had opened the hospital. Everything was in order, and Ethan had his usual clientele from his previous job. That proved to be a great benefit for them since Ethan was very skilled at his job, and after people got acclimated to it, they only wanted Ethan or someone Ethan recommended to work on their pets. Wynter was able to learn a great deal from him.Though he continued to flirt with her, he was quite rigorous about his profession. When it came to working, he was a completely different guy. But, unlike Wynter, Ethan has evolved into a close friend, and at this time, Wynter has learned that he grew up in an orphanage with no recollections of his childhoo
9. Captivating Eyes It was unlike Wynter, yet she snapped at the stranger in front of her.Only then did she get a decent view of his face. She couldn't dispute that he was really attractive. He was the most attractive person Wynter had ever seen.He resembled a Greek deity, with a strong jaw line, a pointed nose, and little stubble covering his attractive face, but his eyes were on another level. He had the most mesmerizing eyes she had ever seen. It was not simply its outward attractiveness that drew people in, but also the fact that it housed so many emotions inside."I am, however it seems that the tag fits you better." With a furrow from his brow, the stranger remarked angrily.Wynter was irritated by his comments, but she was even more perplexed by them."Huh? What do you mean?" she said, frowning."If you can't tell by my condition, I'm genuinely blind, but I think you'd need your eyes tested first for not walking correctly and then for blaming the person you should be gratef
10. Clearing Doubts "I'm leaving," Wynter said from the dining room."Sure, don't be long today, and please return soon," Sabrina said. She, too, was preparing to go to work."Bye, Daddy," she said as she kissed Travis on the cheek and exited. She had been ecstatic from the moment she awoke. She assumed her hormones were causing her problems. again."Hush, Wynter, it's not like he's going to eat you alive or something, and stop being dumb," she chided herself before exiting the vehicle."Let's go, don't appear strange," she said to herself as she stepped out of her car."Good morning, Tessa," she said as soon as she walked into her room, where Tessa was setting up her table. There was still one hour before the hospital opened to visitors and patients, and Wynter had a practice of doing rounds on all the dogs kept under surveillance."Good morning, Wynter," she said, smiling."Are there any casualties?" Wynter queried whether it was Ethan's department to investigate, but since he was o
11. Goodbye "Are we good to go?" Shadrach asked."Yes, we are," Wynter said, nodding."Okay, Bella, I believe we have a new vet for you, and I guess we'll be seeing her a lot," Shadrach murmured, caressing the pet's hair as he heard Wynter giggle."What occurred?" Shadrach asked."That's Ellias, whose fur you're caressing," Wynter said."Oh," Shadrach responded. He drew his hand back."Bella is sitting comfortably at my side," Wynter explained. "That's my chow-chow, not your fault; he is about the same size as Bella, right Elli?" Ellias woofed in response to Wynter's question."Gotcha!" He, too, laughed. "Unlike my Bella, he appears really nice," Shadrach observed, stroking Ellias' fur."That he is," Wynter stood up, but before she could say anything, the door was knocked. "Yes, please come in," she said.Tessa walked in as Wynter approached her seat. "Patients are waiting for you, Wynter; I just came in to see if you needed anything," Tessa informed."I take it as permission to leave
12. We Meet again "Get up, sleepyhead," Harris said to Wynter.Wynter sighed and opened her eyes, but she hesitated to stand. She blinked open her eyes and remained in her bed."Please leave me alone, Harris. I need to sleep more, and I'm not in the mood for an argument," Wynter moaned."How about your work?" Harris asked, lying alongside her."It's my hospital, and I can take the day off anytime I want," Wynter remarked, turning away and covering her face from Harris, and that's when Sabrina came in; she overheard their whole exchange."However, Wynter, you never take a day off. What happened?" Harris asked, concerned that his sister was unwell.Sabrina gave him a stern look. "Leave her alone," she urged,"Leave her alone," she urged, Sabrina waved for Harris to go, and he was cut off once again."All right," Harris said as he got out of bed.Sabrina sat down next to her, tenderly caressing Wynter's hair."Do you have anything you'd want to discuss?" Sabrina asked."No, Mama Iris,
