6. Confrontation

Wynter was laying in her hospital bed, thinking and staring at the monitor. She wishes she had someone by her side to assist her in making the proper decision. She had just swiped her card and walked inside the room with shaking feet.

"OK, Wynter, are you certain about your decision, or is there any outside pressure on you?" Out of duty, the doctor questioned Wynter, to which she gulped and shook her head no.

"Okay, let me explain the implications since there is no turning back now. Because you are still in your first trimester, abortion is quite simple for you because the baby has not yet matured. We wouldn't need any surgeries; only some medicine at regular intervals would suffice." The doctor continued her explanation by recommending one more scan to assess how well Wynter's body would tolerate the meds she would prescribe later.

"All right, I'm prepared." Wynter nodded as a shiver went over her chest as if she wasn't doing the proper thing.
