Chapter 6 The Most Beautiful Woman

"Why on earth did you people let some random woman wear the wedding dress I designed?" Jonathan's expression changed, and he spoke in a chilly tone with gritted teeth.

"Fredrick!" He looked at Scarlett, who was showing such disrespect for the wedding dress he designed, and became so angry that his tone turned a few degrees colder.

"I…" Fredrick Myers was Jonathan's personal assistant. The latter had entrusted him with such an important matter, but he messed it up instead.

"Mr. Leonard, Dusk Skyline really lives up to its name. I believe Leonard Corporations will top this year's annual clothing sales again," the businessman next to Jonathan quickly flattered him.

Fredrick signaled to the models on the stage to assist Scarlett, and they escorted her to the very front of the stage. In a moment of panic, Scarlett couldn't maintain her footing in her high heels and fell to the ground with a thud. It was so embarrassing.

The entire audience was dismayed. The fashion show was going strong, only to be ruined by the so-called star of the show. Lucas quickly covered his eyes with his chubby little hands, feeling worried for his mother.

Scarlett thought she had sprained her ankle, hindering her from getting up quickly. She tried standing up several times but had to slump back down from the pain.

Alas, this was life—when it rained, it poured. At this moment, the disapproval coming from the audience made her feel more embarrassed than when she lost a case. If she knew that things would turn out like this, she would rather take on thousands of cases than be the butt of the joke.

"The Dusk Skyline was inspired by the brilliant orange sky at sunset. That moment is when the skies are at their most beautiful." Suddenly, a deep and charismatic voice cut in on Scarlett's misery, gradually getting closer. "The colors of the sky may be beautiful, but they shift with the rising and the setting of the sun. With the sun, there's also the moon. Just like the angel beside me, without a groom by her side, a bride won't be able to find true happiness even if she wears the most beautiful wedding dress." Like a gentleman, Jonathan bent down and held out his hand to carefully help the woman beside him to her feet.

Scarlett looked up at this familiar yet foreign face. She could find a sense of security in his deep, compelling gaze. Her mind was totally blank at this moment. She obediently stretched out her hand and stood up with his help.

"Anyone here want to get this dress for your bride? You should act fast and order this exclusive dress now." Without glancing at Scarlett, Jonathan held her hand and hinted to the audience.

"Okay…" There was a burst of cheers and applause from the audience. Surprisingly, Scarlett's fall became the climax of the event, which in turn saved the entire fashion show.

"This is the most elegant and gorgeous wedding dress this spring, and I'm glad that all of you like it. At the same time, I would like to thank this model for showcasing Dusk Skyline." For the first time, he looked squarely at the woman beside him. When he looked at her appearance, he momentarily lost his composure. But as a calm and composed person, he kept his cool. "In my heart, only the woman next to me is worthy of this dress. It isn't designed for just anyone, after all."

Scarlett was very confused, but from this close distance, she could clearly smell the unique cologne on his body. Jonathan looked at the main camera filming the fashion show with a wicked smile. Then, before Scarlett could react, he suddenly kissed her on the lips. Scarlett looked at the man before her with wide eyes, her heart pounding immediately. In an instant, she regretted her decision to return to Catheden.
