Chapter 9 Take off the Dress

"Fine. Who wants your wedding dress anyway?" Scarlett was still angry, and she pulled the straps of the dress off her shoulders without hesitation. When she exposed her fair skin, she realized she wasn't wearing anything other than this man's wedding dress.

Almost all the employees of Leonard's company were nearby, and they got excited when they saw a beautiful woman about to undress in public. But when they noticed Jonathan's chilling presence, they all fled.

"Go ahead and take it off. I'll let you leave when you're done." Jonathan strolled toward her with a provocative and mischievous smile on his face. This was the same woman who had dared to kidnap and get into bed with him. Even so, he wasn't intrigued by the prospect of her stripping in public.

Scarlett raised her delicate feet, took off the crystal high heels, and put them on the ground.

"Sorry, I can only return these to you. Take it or leave it." She also removed the hairpin on her head and threw it on the ground.

"They're here."

Although they were on the 38th floor of the building, those reporters still managed to catch up to her. Rushing to Scarlett's side, Jonathan grabbed her arm and walked around to a corner of the corridor.

"What are you doing…" Scarlett came back to her senses. She wanted to leave and take the elevator on the 37th floor to escape. As Jonathan held her tightly once again, she retorted angrily, "Let me go. Do you really want me to take off my clothes…uh…"

Seeing that the reporters were approaching, Jonathan could only capture her mouth in a kiss to shut her up.

"Where did they go? Why did they disappear all of a sudden?"

With her back turned to those reporters, Scarlett had no clue that they were near. She assumed that the man was taking advantage of her again, so she stepped on his foot with her bare heel.

Some people would never change. He still didn't know how to behave even though she had bitten him once. Jonathan, now in pain, instinctively let go of her body. Then, Scarlett turned around and walked out of the corridor without thinking, only to find herself surrounded by the reporters.

Scarlett was a little frantic, hoping to take that man down with her. She backed away slowly with her bare feet. When she saw the reporters rushing toward her, she turned around and kissed Jonathan again.

Click! Click!

The sound of cameras clicking rang out in succession. As their action was caught on camera, the reporters would write something scandalous, even if nothing happened.

At Belleview Estate.

The white wedding dress Scarlett was wearing had become a dark yellow, and some of the orange diamonds on the dress had fallen off. However, her face was still as beautiful as ever.

"Dylan," Scarlett called out to the handsome man in front of her in embarrassment, holding up the hem of the wedding dress with her bare feet shyly tilted up.

"Quick, come in." Dylan Fairmont moved to support Scarlett, who had severely sprained her left ankle.

"Where's Lucas? Did he come home?" Scarlett wasn't worried about her injury at all, and the first thing she asked was where her precious son was.

"Don't worry. He's fine," Dylan replied quickly.

Lucas was a smart boy. Even if this was his first time in his homeland, he wouldn't get lost that easily. As long as he knew Dylan's address, there was no way he wouldn't be able to find where he lived.

"How did you get into this mess? What on earth happened?" Holding the first aid kit, Dylan squatted in front of the couch where Scarlett was sitting and applied some medicine to her wound. "I waited for you at the airport for so long, but you two were nowhere to be seen. You're already an adult, yet you still never thought about giving me a call," Dylan couldn't help but reprimand her softly.
