Chapter 31: The Club
“You look gorgeous my dear.” Sebastian says with a twinkle in his eyes as he looks me up and down.Licking his lips like a wolf thinking of eating his prey, he begins to pace when Lisa takes too long to get ready.“We need to get this show on the road.” He states when he looks up from his watch with a furrowed brow.He doesn’t like waiting around and certainly not because Lisa can’t decide which dress to wear.  I am just glad that we can wear the same size dresses.  She didn’t bring anything appropriate for a club with her and I didn’t think to tell her to bring anything either.  My bad, I knew that I should have told her that we would probably go at some point in time. When Lisa walks out of the closet, Sebastian and I glance at each other in shock.  She is more beautiful than I have ever seen her before.  I guess that baby blue, skintight thigh high little thing, does her jus

Chapter 32: Making A New Friend
After getting through the rest of the night without scandal, I call Rosalee first thing after breakfast so Lisa can meet her.  This being her only day off, I figured we could take them all out to lunch.  “So, would you like to come to lunch with us?” I ask because this is one of the best ways to break the ice.“Sure, but my niece is staying with me for a few days.  Do you mind if she comes too?” She asks cheerfully, so I look between Lisa and Sebastian, incase they had a problem with it.They both shrug and shake their head, and then I answer, “That sounds good to me.  I can always use a new friend or two or three.” Before I hear her talking to someone in the room with her.Smiling now, I ask, “Can we meet up at the Lilly in, say an hour?” I hesitate while I look down at my watch. “No problem, we will be there.  Thanks, by the way.  It will make Skye’s day.&rdq

Chapter 33: What Can It Be?
“Don’t touch!” He yells at me and then swats my hand away when I try to cheat and see what’s in the package.“You just can’t leave it alone, can you?” I watch him hide the box behind his back while grinning in my face intentionally.“Come on.  You left it set there all day.  Now that I want to open it, you are trying to hide it from me?” I can’t help but to play along, especially when he is being so cute. That man of mine left me a present sitting on top of the counter all morning.  When I went to go over and inspect it further, he swats me.  He swats me of all things.  “Can you imagine that?” I murmur under my breath when as I roll my eyes.“Hm?” He asks with his brows furrowed and his hands now behind his back. He is holding the one thing that I want more than anything right now.  “Ugh.  You are impossible!&rdqu

Chapter 34: So Many Things To Do
“Lisa.  Can you come here?” I ask quickly because I need help holding up four boxes that are about to topple. When I went into the closet to get my dress shoes, I may have bit off more than I can chew before grabbing the stool.  What I should have done was to get Sebastian’s help, but that would have been admitting that I can’t do it myself.  I am too stubborn for that, and it will be the death of me. She rushes over and puts her hand up, just as the boxes start to topple to the floor.  Not realizing it, I fall into her, and we both end up on our butts.  Laughing, Sebastian finds us lying there and then comments, “If I knew that you were into girls, I would have offered to watch earlier.” Then he smiles and laughs whole heartedly before picking me up and offering a hand to Lisa.“What have the two of you been doing?” He asks with a questioning look on his face.Looking me

Chapter 35: I'm Positive
Disguising my trip to the doctors as a girl’s day out with Lisa and Skye, I head out to my first appointment in hopes of finding out if I am pregnant or not.  Of course, Sebastian doesn’t question me one way or the other, he just rolls his eyes and goes back to reading in his den when I tell him about my plans.  “By the way, I already have plans for today.”“Alright.  I will be sitting here reading when you return.” He hesitates and then says softer now, “By the way, don’t forget to pick up some mints in case you start to get queasy again.  My mom used to swear by them whenever I had a stomachache.”Smiling, I head on out and drive to the doctor’s office.  As it turns out, it is on the far end of town.  That I didn’t know until I was almost late. Rushing into the office, I was quickly seated in a room and then the doctor walks in.  “Hello.” She

Chapter 36: It Comes So Quickly
It’s Wednesday morning and the sun is shining bright outside the kitchen window.  As we eat breakfast, I find myself smiling just as brightly when Sebastian turns to kiss me sweetly on the lips.  “Baby, I know I can’t see you right before the wedding, but you look beautiful anyways.  I bet that you will look like an angel when you walk down the aisle this afternoon.” He says to me, right before my phone rings.I look down and see that it’s Sebastian’s idiot guy friend Ron and he is calling yet again.  Handing the phone to Sebastian, I put away the leftovers and throw the dirty dishes into the sink to rinse for a while until the housekeeper gets there.“Hey Ron, is everything ready to go?  Did you pay the minister and make sure everything is good?” He pauses to listen to Ron’s answer and then he is silent for a minute. He turns to look at me and make sure I am not listening befor

Chapter 37: A Day To Remember
Hearing the music of my favorite song, I glance over to Sebastian who takes my hand and then we begin to dance.  The moment everyone sees us, they walk off the floor and watch us in admiration. The two of us circle around, like we have been dancing together for years hand in hand.  Matter of fact, the way we dance reminds me of two well oiled gears that fit perfectly in place and always move in time.  If one gets gummed up or the timing is off, the whole machine stops working. I learned this a long time ago when my mom used to work at a clock shop.  One day when I was very young, she had me into the shop.  As she did her job, she taught me a think or two about gears and how they had to be well lubricated to function well. “Baby, you seem in a far-off place.” He says to me and brings me back to the present.“Oh, nothing.  I was just remembering my mom when I was little, used to take me to the shop with h

Chapter 38: The Shower
“What are you doing baby?” He asks as I set up the monitors, and then glance up at him.“I need to have everything just right before she comes.  After all, it isn’t every day you have your first one.” I swallow hard and hesitate before admitting, “I am worried that I will be a bad mom.” As I say it softly and refuse to look up at him.He reaches for my chin and cups it with his finger and thumb as he forces me to stare up into his eyes.  “Baby, you could never be a bad mom.  You are such a good person and who else would have prepared so well for their first born.  I mean look around this room.  She will have anything and everything she ever needs at her beck and call.” He says before leaning down and kissing me softly on my lips.As he raises his head, he says to me, “I love you and no matter what, she will too.” He touches the tip of my nose with his index finger as he sa

Chapter 39: 10 Months Later
It has been 10 months since my baby girl Brianna was born.  Her sweet smile lights every day, and her voice is the most heavenly thing I have ever heard.  Her cheeks are always rosy and her eyes grey like steel.  One day she will fetch the eye of a handsome stranger like I once did, and he will fall head over heals in love with her.Till then, she is mine to cherish, love and protect.  Of course, with the help of Sebastian her ever protective dad.  He is always rescuing her from whatever trouble she finds herself in.  Trust me it usually is plenty and sometimes he even has a hand in it.  Laughing, I find that I can’t stop as I watch them playing in the rose garden and wrestling. He is so sweet with her and the perfect daddy a girl could ever ask for or hope to have.  As I watch them, a lone tear frees itself from the corner of my eye when I remember that I almost died that day.  If I had, I would have never been
