Chapter 21: It Remains To Be Seen
It’s been two weeks now since I left Sebastian’s side, and I can honestly say that there hasn’t been a single day that I didn’t stop to think about him.  Even my body aches for him, but I know over time it will gradually ease.  Perhaps, if I go out tonight with Lisa, I will drown my sorrows in some good old fashion Vodka and maybe take home a man to stop this deep need that I still feel for him. Lisa is a tall, lanky 20-year-old, with blonde hair and blue eyes.  She works at the steel mill in the office, where I am currently working.  A few days after I returned from abroad, I saw an add up at the supermarket for help wanted. After calling them and leaving a message, I received a prompt call back and then an interview the very next day.  Just shortly afterwards, I started and have been there ever since.  Lisa and I became fast friends that day and have been inseparable ever since, especially now that I a

Chapter 22: Party Time
“What are you wearing tonight?” Lisa asks while pulling a muted peach top over her head.I turn to her and stare, because I’m standing in the walk-in closet trying to decide exactly that.  Shrugging, I say, “I don’t know yet.  Nothing seems right and after today’s strange events, I am left feeling out of sorts.”“Oh.  Hey, I forgot to ask if he said any more to you.” Her voice trails off after she says it when she notices her necklace sitting on the table and walks over to get it. “When I caught up to him, Mr. Sandhill gave me a lecture and then they both left.  Sebastian told him that we were nothing more than friends.  I don’t know how to take that.  Do you think he was lying so I wouldn’t get fired?” I ask because the curiosity has been killing me for the last few hours.“I don’t know.  It could be, but you know him more th

Chapter 23: A Rough Start
Knowing full well that I won’t get any sleep tonight, I still try.  However, after 3 hours of endless tossing and turning, I finally get back up and grab a cup of coffee.  Trying not to disturb Lisa in case she is home already, I tip toe to the kitchen and quietly make a pot of coffee. The aroma that wafted through the air stirs my sense of smell and fills me with a hunger for more than a drink or two.  So, while I wait for it to brew, I open the fridge to sift through the remnants of old pizza boxes and Chinese takeout.  I find a small box of teriyaki chicken and decide to inspect it closer.  “Hm.  Still smells good.” I mutter under my breath after I raise it to my nose and sniff it.However, when I scoop out a bite and eat it, I grimace before spitting it out into the trash as I quickly rush over to it.  “How horrible.” I think to myself because the chicken no longer tasted good.  Then, just

Chapter 24: Hells Bells
“Why were you late Kaitlyn?” Mr. Sandhill asks with a wary look on his face and then looks up from me when Sebastian enters, and the door slams shut behind me.“That’s my fault.  Sorry.”  He states quickly and then sighs. He walks past me and then Mr. Sandhill turns and rushes to catch up with him.  As I watch the two of them walk into Mr. Sandhill’s office, I wonder what they will be talking about today?  Does it really matter?Taking in a deep breath, I walk to my desk and then see Lisa staring at me.  She whispers, “What was that about?  I noticed you didn’t come in right away.”Shaking my head, I remark softly, “He asked me to leave with him for good.  I told him no and I don’t think he appreciated it.”Lisa’s eyes upon hearing that, grow wider than saucers and then she jumps out of her seat to stand next to me.  “You did

Chapter 25: Back To His House
“What are you so happy about?” Lisa stares at me and then laughs while putting away her purse under her desk. “Um.  I guess I am going back with him tonight.  I need to clear out my stuff before we leave.” I say when I look up at her and then the clock. Realizing that I only have a few hours before we must be at the airport, I quickly throw my things in a grocery bag and then stop for a breath.  Walking over to Lisa, I hesitate to hug her, because this whole time I was packing up my stuff, she has been protesting me leaving.“Are you sure you are doing the right thing?” She asks with a wary eye trained on me as I approach her.I start to laugh and then say, “No, I am not sure of anything.  But what is the worst that can happen?  He is rich and claims that he loves me.” Staring at me with one eyebrow raised in a questioning look, she says, “That is preci

Chapter 26: It Is What It Is
Waking up in Sebastian’s arms, I scan the room and find what I was looking for.  Last night, after stripping off my clothes for bed, I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.  Unfortunately, before I did, I had dropped my purse on the floor with my phone in it.  Now, I must try and slip out from under his arms, so I can get to it.Struggling with his big, strong arms, I finally get him to release me before climbing out of bed.  When I perch on the edge of the bed, I notice something else odd.  There is a package sitting on the nightstand next to me and it has my name on it.Reaching for it, I feel the weight and then slip the ribbon off the box.  It falls to the floor as I open it and look inside.  What I see shocks me, because perched on a silk pillow, is a gold chain attached to a petite star shaped diamond necklace.  It looks antique and is absolutely the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life by far.&nb

Chapter 27: A New Day
Feeling sore and still tired, I want to lounge today, but Sebastian has other plans in store for us.  “Baby, I called the stable and they are going to make sure the girls are ready to go for us.  I figured today is as good a day as any to go riding up into the hills.  I think you will love it.” He stops and looks at me oddly and then continues, “I never stopped to ask if you have ever ridden a horse before.  So, have you?” He cocks his head in anticipation of my answer.I frown and then say quietly, “No, I haven’t.  But when I was little, my mom always talked about taking me horse riding.  Apparently, when she was a kid that was a thing.” I start to laugh when I realize just how strange that sounds and then watch him smirk before running his fingers through his hair.“Oh boy.  Today will indeed be an interesting day then.  I am not a good teacher, so you will have to bear with me.&n

Chapter 28: The Surprise
After several days of constant love making, he tells me that he must go away for a day and will be back the next afternoon.  Not knowing what to do with myself in the meantime, I call Rosalee and tell her I will work for her if she needs me.  “Oh, thank you so much.” She says excitedly and sounds so thrilled that I am willing to help her. When I get off the phone, I clean up the bedroom a little before the housekeeper comes.  Because in my opinion, it makes me feel spoiled if I can’t even pick up my own clothes.  Let alone make my own food.  But hey, tis the rich life I suppose.Seeing her an hour later, I smile and feel like I am finally going to be doing something with myself again.  Even though my body aches from his constant attention, it feels good to be out and working again.  So, when I get my first round of customers for the day, I smile and greet them happily. At the end of the day, Rosalee walk

Chapter 29: He's Home
“So, tell me.  Are you hiding a present in your pocket for me or are you just happy to see me?” I say sarcastically while pointing down at his pants. He had just walked in the door and the first thing he did was give me the most passionate kiss I had ever felt in my life.  He bent me over backwards and kissed me so hard that it took my breath away.  When I came back up, I gasped for air and wondered what I did to deserve such a wonderful kiss like that. A Cheshire Cat smile spreads across his face and then he says, “Did you miss me as much as I missed you?”I hesitate, because I need him to sweat it a little before I smirk and say, “Yes.  Of course, I did.  But I missed him more.” I point down to his hard shaft and then lick my lips.Refusing to let him know that I need him more than he needs me, I play it up as a joke and then pull him to me.  Looking him in the eyes seriously, I sta

Chapter 30: Lisa Is Coming
“I still can’t believe Mr. Sandhill let her have 2 weeks off so she could come visit.  How did you persuade him to let her?” I turn to him and ask while doing my hair. “Hm.  Oh, yeah.  That was easy.  Did you forget I am the owner of the company now?  I just simply told him that if he didn’t, he would be out of a job.  Sometimes I love throwing around my power.” He says while wagging his eyebrows at me. I laugh and then he raises his hands and flexes his muscles, like a muscle builder.  When he does, I ooh and aah, until he smiles and winks at me.  It’s just so amazing that I have been back here for three weeks now, and it seems like we have been together forever.  I even work at Rosalee’s place on Thursdays and Fridays, to help her out.  Of course, I take the money she gives me, and I put it aside, just in case Sebastian and I ever break up and I am forced to
