Chapter 24: Hells Bells

“Why were you late Kaitlyn?” Mr. Sandhill asks with a wary look on his face and then looks up from me when Sebastian enters, and the door slams shut behind me.

“That’s my fault.  Sorry.”  He states quickly and then sighs.

He walks past me and then Mr. Sandhill turns and rushes to catch up with him.  As I watch the two of them walk into Mr. Sandhill’s office, I wonder what they will be talking about today?  Does it really matter?

Taking in a deep breath, I walk to my desk and then see Lisa staring at me.  She whispers, “What was that about?  I noticed you didn’t come in right away.”

Shaking my head, I remark softly, “He asked me to leave with him for good.  I told him no and I don’t think he appreciated it.”

Lisa’s eyes upon hearing that, grow wider than saucers and then she jumps out of her seat to stand next to me.  “You did
