Chapter 27: A New Day

Feeling sore and still tired, I want to lounge today, but Sebastian has other plans in store for us.  “Baby, I called the stable and they are going to make sure the girls are ready to go for us.  I figured today is as good a day as any to go riding up into the hills.  I think you will love it.” He stops and looks at me oddly and then continues, “I never stopped to ask if you have ever ridden a horse before.  So, have you?” He cocks his head in anticipation of my answer.

I frown and then say quietly, “No, I haven’t.  But when I was little, my mom always talked about taking me horse riding.  Apparently, when she was a kid that was a thing.” I start to laugh when I realize just how strange that sounds and then watch him smirk before running his fingers through his hair.
