Chapter 11
I woke up trembling quickly searching my mind for Leah.“Did you see my dream?” I asked not knowing if she would be present for it.“I did,” she replied her echoed fear filling my head. “What are we supposed to do? I don’t know that we are strong enough to face such a strong pack.”I was feeling the same, it would be a lot to take on if we went today. On top of being hunted by a ruthless Alpha, I wouldn’t be able to stay here. I would have to tell my family the truth tonight and I had no idea how to do that. I felt stuck, wanting to know more but fearing what it would take to learn it. “Where would we go Leah? If we go and Eli learns we are alive, my family and friends won’t be safe with us here. I won't drag them into this.” “Maybe we could stay with Kent's pack. They might be able to help us.” Leah said her voice holding an edge of delight at the idea of staying near Kent.“Maybe, I need to talk to him before I make a dec

Chapter 12
The drive seemed to last forever.Richard had gone ahead of us to get more details surrounding the protection spells that Freya had placed around me. He wanted to be sure that we had as much information as possible about what would happen when I met Freya so that we could be better prepared .That meant that it was again just me and Kent. We sat in silence for awhile after we left my house. I was so nervous about what was to come that I couldn’t bring myself to speak .After about fifteen minutes,  Kent broke the silence.“Sarah, I know this is hard but just know you aren’t alone. I'll will be right here with you no matter what happens .” He said glancing at me.I could feel his sincerity and I could feel my mind slowing it’s fight against the mate bond. The more I got to know him, the less I wanted to resist him. It wasn't because of some strange force pulling me to him but because of his words and actions. We had known each other a week and

Chapter 13
I thought of a thousand things I could say to this woman from thank you for saving my life to asking how she got into my dreams and yet the only question that came rushing out of my mouth was:“Does this mean Eli knows I am alive? Will my family be safe?” The smallest smile crossed her face.“I see you’re right down to business. Eli will feel your power now but it will take time for him to know what it is and to track you down. I'll make sure your family stays safe but as you probably already guessed, it is best if you say goodbye tonight.” “We've already arranged for Sarah to return with us tonight,” Kent said looking between Richard and Freya. They both nodded in agreement.“While we waited for you, Freya and I worked out a defense plan that should help keep you safe from Eli's men while you are staying with the pack. She will come back with me to set up the spells while you return home to pack. For now, we have some questions

Chapter 14
It took a long time for me to wrap my head around what I had learned, even longer to finally find the words to speak. The whole time three sets of eyes were on me staring with anticipation. I'd guess about a half hour elapsed before I was able to form a semblance of an explanation “The witches soul, she isn’t just a witch.” I began. I could feel the intensity of the stares and could see the confusion. “Her name is Selene, she is the one you call the Moon Goddess.”I stopped,  needing to let the words sink in before I could continue. I could see the disbelief on the faces around me that echoed what I was feeling. Even having seen what I had, it was too unbelievable to think that I, a normal teenage girl, wasn’t just a werewolf but a werewolf that possessed part of the Moon Goddess's soul. It was only a short time ago that I had found Leah in my mind and now I was supposed to be in charge of the future of an entire race of beings that I didn’t even know existed

Chapter 15
As we entered the house, I could see Mom at the stove preparing dinner.“Hey, sorry I’m late. Mom, this is my friend Kent.” I said guiding him into the kitchen.“Oh hello. It’s nice to… uhm meet you Kent.” mom said as she turned around. As soon as her eyes fell on Kent, I could hear the shock in her voice. The look she gave me made it clear she hadn’t expected him to be older or it could’ve been the anger that filled his eyes as they fell on Seth who was standing in the doorway to the living room.As he allowed his eyes to travel back to my mom and away from Seth, I could noticeably see them soften.“It’s a pleasure to meet you ma'am.” Kent replied still with a small edge of anger in his voice.Dad walked in the kitchen around Seth, who was staring intently at Kent, and introduced himself in much the same manner as my mom.“Hi, I’m Leo Sarah’s Dad. How did you two met if you don’t mind me asking?”“At Panic! when we went for my birthday last

Chapter 16
I was a mess on the way back to Kent’s house. I sat in the passenger seat with tears running down my face barely making a noise. It had been the longest day of my life and my mind couldn’t seem to process it all. Since the time I woke up today my whole world had been going crazy and now here I sat, leaving my home and family behind.Kent seemed to sense that I wasn’t in the mood to talk but made a point to wrap his hand around mine giving me at least one point of comfort. The instant I felt his skin touch mine, I knew it was exactly what I needed to keep my world together. I needed to know I wasn’t alone even though I had just left everyone I loved most behind me. The drive seemed to last forever, my mind going over the days events, seeing the look on my parents face when I told them I was leaving. Even thinking of Seth and April, my two best friends, brought my sharp jabs of pain. An eternity later, we finally pulled into Kent’s garage. As much as I wanted to just go to

Chapter 17
I could see the sunlight filling the room even through my closed eyelids. I had no desire to wake up, but daylight was reminding me that the day was waiting. Slowly, I opened my eyes and took in my environment. It was a second before I remembered where I was and finally why. Remembering Kent’s warmth, I looked beside me. The place that had once held his body lay empty and I felt a small sinking in my heart. As much as I tried to deny it, I missed him and wanted him to be here.Grudgingly, I got up from the bed and walked to the dresser Kent had rummaged through to get pjs for me. I opened every drawer finding a lot of jeans and t-shirts that all appeared to be in my size. I found  one whole drawer full of undergarments. Most of the underwear was basic boy shorts but a few were lacey little things that brought a small blush to my face. I never bought my self anything like that knowing I had no one to wear it for. Now the idea of wearing these delicate materials in front of Ke

Richard and I spent hours going over my school subjects, mostly just giving him an idea where I was in each subject. Unsurprisingly, he seemed well educated in all areas and was a great help. It was different learning one on one as opposed to in a classroom. I noticed I was able to focus more and was absorbing more of what he was saying. After we covered all subjects, we started in on werewolf history.I had received a brief intro yesterday but I was sure there was still far more for me to learn. We started with Richard asking me about the history lesson Selene had given me. He asked if I knew the names of any of the original werewolves or any of the men that attacked the coven. Sadly, Selene hadn’t mentioned any names but I made a note to ask her next time she invaded my dreams. From there, Richard started with the earliest history he knew. His lesson dated back to King Arthur times, and was about King Arthur himself.“Our records show that there was never a King Arthur bu

I was surprised when, instead of leading me through the same hidden door towards the endless hall, Kent turned to the wall in the back of the living room. It took a second but right before he reached for it, I saw the same oval outline that I had before. I remembered Kent had told me there were more secret passageways so I figured this was just leading to another unseen section of his house. It didn’t. This door was much more intense that the first. Before sliding open, a number of locks could be heard turning and once it did, thick steel bars could be seen within the foot wide door. On the other side, was the yard leading to the training center we had gone to a few days before. Thinking back, it seemed like it was weeks ago not merely three days.We walked out into the yard but instead of heading towards the door we had gone to before, we headed to a different door at the far end of the building. The door lead to a room with a single long table surrounded by at least thirty chai
