Matchmaking

Dasha's POV

"Dasha, there is an important thing for us to talk about and we hope you can accept it," said Felix, my father, who is an Alpha of the Blue Diamond Pack.

I just nodded and sat down in front of my parents in the living room. After returning from the academy, I was supposed to rest in my room, but this time my parents asked me to talk face-to-face about something important.

"You must marry Alpha Edmon of the Nightfall Pack, your mother Luna Yelena and I have already agreed on the man," my father suddenly explained.

"Why am I supposed to get married all of a sudden?" I asked with a frown.

"Soon you will be an adult and you will celebrate your coming of age, so we want to prepare you to become Luna for Alpha Edmon, a powerful Alpha in our alliance," my dad told me again.

Then my mother interrupted my father's words, "Listen to your father, dear. This is a pact between us since a long time ago in order to maintain the peace of our alliance, of course you must already know about that, right?"

I nodded slowly again because that was the rule in my alliance, the Golden Wolf Alliance. Where I and maybe other Alpha children in this alliance have to marry other Golden Wolf descendants to build a strong alliance, we won't attack each other because there will be our descendants in each other's pack after the matchmaking.

I took a deep breath and looked at my father and mother alternately, "All right, whatever you think is best for me and this pack, I agree to accept this arranged marriage."

Upon hearing my statement, Mom and Dad immediately smiled and hugged me. There was no reason for me to refuse any of their wishes as long as it was beneficial to my life. After all, they have given me love and a very comfortable life so far.

Then I hurried back to my room to rest. 

I lay down on the bed and thought about the arranged marriage my parents had just talked about.

To be honest, I was a little scared because I didn't know who the man was, I never see his face. All I know is that he is six years older than me. I am currently eighteen years old and still a student at the Golden Wolf Academy, which is run by my alliance.

In this confusion, I tried to talk to my inner wolf named Helen.

"Helen, do you think my decision to agree to this marriage is the right one?" I asked Helen.

"I know you're a good girl Dasha, even if your heart's against it, what can you do but obey your parents' orders, right?" Helen replied.

"You're right Helen, I was just imagining how I would live with a man who is more mature than me," I said with a smile.

"Believe me, it would be very exciting, biologically mature men are also hot," Helen replied to me.

I laughed then, why did our conversation even lead to biological needs, actually I wanted to talk about my obligations duties, and rights after marriage later. However, it was useless. Helen was like me, she had never experienced married life. 

I looked out the window at the flower garden in my backyard and saw a man waving to me.

The man immediately interrupted my daydream, but I didn't hate him, I was just glad he came at the right time, and I quickly went over to the backyard.

I ran over and immediately hugged the man.

"Nicholas, is your work on the house pack done?" I asked with a happy look on my face.

Nicholas just nodded his head and handed me a chocolate. I accepted it with great enthusiasm because it was my favorite snack.

"I did my work faster on purpose so I could see you soon. Why are you look so gloomy? Is there anything weighing your mind? " asked Nicholas while he looked at me sharply.

"I can always count on you Nicho, your hunch is right, I have something to tell you," I said. 

"Let's sit on the park bench, my ears will always be ready to listen to all your stories, come on!" said Nicho, who then grabbed my arm.

He was indeed a very kind and caring man, always there when I needed him. Nicholas was the son of a Beta in the Blue Moon pack, and he had been my best friend since childhood.

Nicholas worked to help Beta Gerald in the house pack, he had just graduated from the Academy a year ago, a year ahead of me.

Every time he finished his work at the House Pack and before he went home, Nicho would take the time to visit me and bring me my favorite chocolate that he bought at the grocery store.

"Nicho, Mom and Dad suddenly asked me to marry Alpha Edmon from the Nightfall pack and i just agreed to them. But now I feel kind of confused about my decision!" I explained to Nicho and he was a little surprised.

"Getting married? Are you kidding, Dasha?" 

"Maybe It's a hasty decision, Nicho, but you know that I can't refuse my parents' wish!" I said with a slightly excited look on my face.

"I can't say if it's right or not, but have you met Alpha Edmon?" Nicholas asked again to me.

I shook my head as I started to eat the chocolate Nicholas had given me earlier.

"I never meet him before, but i hope he is a nice as you, Nicho! " I said with a smile, “By the way thanks for the chocholate,” I continued.

Nicholas returned my smile, then hugged me and gently rubbed my head as if to calm the fear I was feeling.

"You're my best friend Nicholas!" I said as I pulled my body out of his embrace.

I saw Nicholas forced a smile on his lips, then he said something to me.

"I don't want to be just a best friend to you, Dasha."
