EMY'S POV

"It's too strong. I'm changing them."

My heart almost dropped to my stomach at Kelly's response after I told her of my very peaceful sleep. I woke up a few minutes to noon still feeling a bit weak and drowsy.

"B-But it helps me sleep well," I explained. Why would she change it when it served its purpose?

"Besides not wanting to get in trouble with the Alphas," she began. "I don't want you to die in your sleep, Luna Emy. I'm sorry but I have to give you a lower dose. As it seems the drugs are higher than your body mass."

"Then, I just need to gather more body mass, I can do that," I said trying not to sound too eager but it seemed she caught on fast because she frowned a little and glanced at me.

I sat still under her gaze, feeling conscious and stupid for sounding like I had an addiction problem.

"Please don't feel too dependent on the drugs, Luna. We wouldn't want this to backfire. That aside," she smiled. " I heard you're visiting Nana today."
