Chapter 16

EMY'S POV

It was easier to sleep during the day since it was bright but I woke up during evening time to Hunter's knock on my door. I could've sworn I wanted to take a nap. I didn’t know I was this sleep deprived.

Kelly did say I needed to get some rest. I couldn’t tell anyone that I wasn't sleeping well. How would they look at me? They would see me as a burden and I didn’t wish to drag anyone down.

As he led me down the halls after kissing the back of my hand so sweetly, I wondered if he had planned it with Thorn. It took me by surprise when Thorn suddenly pulled up acting like Hunter. It took everything in me not to show my shock but I experienced something else, I was holding myself from smiling.

I didn't know I was capable of smiling. Maybe that was why I was always so fond of Hunter's smile. He knew how to capture my attention with it even if his eyes showed a different emotion. It was almost too painful to look at.

He led me to a garden where Dylan was sitting under a nice shade
