Now What?

“I know your sorry, my emotions seem to be seesaw from one extreme to the next. It must be because, I’m worrying about the pack and the people trying to harm us” River says. “Right, I’ll run you a bath and then you can sleep. I’ll add some relaxing bath salts to the water” McKenzie tells her.

She puts her arms around him and hugs him. “We will get through this River, I’m sure we can” McKenzie says stroking her back trying to reassure her. She takes a deep breath and tries to calm herself. “Alright, I’m good. Thank you, but I think I just want to grab a quick shower and go to bed. I really do feel exhausted” she says. McKenzie kisses her and then takes her upstairs. He turns on the shower while she undresses.

After taking a quick shower and brushing her teeth, she gets into bed and falls asleep nearly instantly. McKenzie puts the mac and cheese in a container. Clears up the kitchen and then gets ready for bed himself. He is very happy being able to hold his mate tonight.
