More Trouble

River is just stepping from the shower when her phone rings. It’s Dan’s number. “Heads up” she says before she answers “Dan, its late?” she questions “River, River” Dan slurs down the phone “I feel terrible” he continues. “Are you drunk Dan?” she asks “I might have had a drink or twooooo” he laughs “I like you, River” he suddenly says and River hears McKenzie growl in her head. “You’re drunk Dan, best sleep it off” she says “I’m really sorry, ahh!” Dan cries and there is a crash as though he’s fallen.

“Dan, Dan are you alright? Dan, can you hear me?” River asks but there is no reply. “Okay stay there, I’ll come and check you’re okay” she says down the phone. “Why are you talking, when no-one is listening? Good job, I have my car here” she says as though to herself before she ends the call. “I don’t know if this is planned or not. But I’ll go check he’s alright or what he wants” she links.
