Chapter 35

After the doctor’s updated us about the completion and succession of Sarah’s first phase, I asked Will to take me home so I could nap. I found it hard some days to not take at least 30 minutes if not an hour during my day to relax and sleep. I was guessing it was all about my body doing so much extra work for the baby. Will explained to his dad that I rode with him this morning, and Glenn pretty much pushed us out of the door and told us to go eat and get some sleep. He was going to go do the same. Sarah’s next phase was going to take 14-18 hours. They actually had doctors coming in to relieve the others halfway through. We all decided to come back in about 12 hours and see if we could get an update at that point.

A part of me felt so sorry for the amount of pain Sarah would wake up with, but knowing she was doing this for her kids proved to me that a mother’s bond will overcome any obstacles.
