While talking to her I found her eyes shifting away from me from time to time. Even when I would order that she looked at me, she would still find a way to avert her gaze.

This frustrated me seeing as she was supposed to be my mate.

I walked to her to hold her hand as she stopped talking, her heartbeat racing.
