Sinclair’s POVNow I had to deal with my stubbornness. It had brought me to the end.The door opened again with two hefty guards getting in.They looked at me and opened my cell, dragging me by the chains out of the cell.I didn’t expect them to treat me nicely since I was going to die anyway and I couldn’t pretend how much it hurt, leaving everything in the care of my brother. He was a wrecking ball. The pack would crash in a few days.He lacked the leadership skills I had. He was impatient, unkind and crude to people. There was no way he was capable of leading the pack.I was dragged out of the building with the crowd screaming for my head to roll. The guards took me to a podium to tie me down to a ledge. There I would stay and wait for my execution to arrive.***Jane’s POVI was dragged out by one of the guards as they said the alpha was about to be killed off so I needed to see him.He dragged me out of the room like I was a child and we were out of the room soon enough, walking
Jane’s POVHe sighed, looking to his knees. “I even had a fight with the witches before leaving. She was trying to explain something to me and I pushed her aside in anger. I wanted to understand why you would cheat on me so I decided to come here on my own and see what was going on.”I couldn’t blame him. Ethan was a snake. Ethan had made me leave the pack anyway.“Ethan was behind this all along,” he blurted as I stared at him in shock.“He what?!”“He did so much to you that you don’t even know it’s from him. Ethan needs to be stopped permanently.”I agreed with him.I told him about the hex Martha had created for me which would amplify my powers and he was fascinated by it.“So how does this work? Do we say some magic word or do we just use it alongside your powers?”“Magic words are fine. We’ll use the magic hex like a smoke screen to escape but we have to be very careful as the hex has different sides to them.”He tilted his head. “What do you mean?”I could see his wounds were n
Sinclair’s POVShe nodded looking at the hex. She concentrated on it, using her magic to infuse into the hex.“Are you thinking of how to put it on?” I asked her as she nodded.“Just give me a moment.”I would give her the amount of time she needed. So long as I would get my super strength at the end of the day. I would rather die an alpha's death than escape a coward. She closed her eyes, putting her thumb to her mouth as she bit it and poured some blood on the hex which turned to a phone-like device with a lever. She pushed it down with two holes appearing on its side. Soon enough the holes released a lot of smoke in my direction before going out into the open.I felt my strength returning slowly.“The smoke is getting heavier,” she said to her feet.I casually stood up, breaking the chains holding me down. I was at full strength now and I could still feel my powers growing.I grabbed hold of her chains, breaking them off.“I don’t feel so bad. I mean, I can still feel my powers gro
Jane’s POV“I’m coming for you Sinclair,” I muttered before running out of the pack at high speed. With each step I took I could feel my speed and strength coming back as I zipped through the pack leaving the pack to the mercy of a rampaging Sinclair.I ran for minutes, passing a wreck site before meeting Martha and the rest of the pack on the road heading for Sullivan’s pack.“Are you okay?” she asked with indigo floating to me as I nodded.“I am.”“Where is the alpha?”“He lost control and right now he’s destroying the entire pack.”“Good for those bastards,” I heard Indigo mutter with some of the witches muttering in agreement.“Those people didn’t do anything wrong to him. The one who did was Sullivan and I’m sure he’s dead right now. Same thing goes for Ethan. He’s probably dead. Sinclair has so much anger and rage in his body that he would do anything to break through the world if possible.”“It’s the magic. He’s lost his humanity,” said Martha. “I’m guessing you used the hex.”
Jane "Please stop!"I screamed out in pain as his kick to my stomach sent me flying across the floor, my back colliding with a wall. I gasped, clutching onto my belly while wheezing."Bitch! C'mon, Jane … what were you going to do before because it looked like you had some nerve walking past me like that." He sneered, yanking me by my hair while I struggled to break free with tears trailing down my cheeks."Please… you're hurting me." I begged, choking on a gasp when my head was shoved against the wall.A high-pitched ringing set off in my ear as I blinked at the blurry environment. My vision had grown hazy and what he was saying remained unheard. I could only blink at him, dazed from the impact of the hit.He grabbed my face that had blood trickling down my nose, tightly and continued to say words that I knew were born from hatred and disgust. I was disgusted at him as well for choosing to be a thorn wedged in my neck. He was the reason one of the major reasons why my life was a hel
JaneI picked myself from the floor, filled with renewed hope because Nala was right. I didn't need their permission to find my mate. All I had to do was make myself present, find my mate and before they would be able to do anything about it, I'd be leaving with my mate. My heart beat in excitement. I was done being obedient. I bit onto my lip as I wiped my tears away. They weren't worth my tears nor the headache that came after.I began clearing the table, all the while trying to think of a plan. My mate was my priority right now even if it meant getting beaten up, it was still worth the shot.I heard the sound of footsteps, small talk and giggles from the stairs.Sullivan was saying something about Elise being a beautiful woman all the time. To others witnessing them at the moment, they'd be in awe but not me. All I felt was the urge to actually throw up the bile in my throat. Her eyes fell on me and her face visibly fell. "We'll be leaving now. Do take care… and kill the rat ple
Jane I woke up to a knock on the door and I yawned, stretching in bed, wincing a little as pain ran up my body from in-between my legs. My entire body was sore as if I got run over by a truck consecutively last night.I rubbed my eyes, running my hand through my hair, blinking at the brightness that suddenly penetrated my eyes, making me wince. I managed to open my eyes again, blinking as the strange environment registered in my head.Where was I? This didn't look like my bed and why was my body aching so bad? I couldn't understand the soreness that existed in-between my legs but something told me that the dream I had last night was more than a dream. I glanced at the sheets that I was tangled in and nearly had a heart-attack. I was stark naked underneath it and there when I looked towards my right, there was a blood-stain on the bed. What exactly happened last night? My memory was hazy and I had a pounding headache. I couldn't remember much, only bits and pieces. A familiar scent ho
Jane I sat quietly in the car as we drove for another hour while I tried to muffle my sobs. My aching body had blisters that were as a result of the extra beating I received from Sullivan last night after he found out that I had tried to escape. The driver never even glanced my way and it made it easier for me to keep a straight face and hide the tears that welled up in my eyes. We had been driving for hours and once we drove past the large sign-board that informed us that we were in Soul pack territory. The driver killed the engine and came out of the car, opening the boot to carry out my bags. I gently climbed out of the car, ignoring the pain that shot up my legs. A large cream coloured building stood with a wolf-head statue spouting water from its ears, into a large bowl. Trimmed rose bushes surrounding the fountain, five paths spreading from the fountain, that mood in the middle of the car surrounded field that served as an entrance. It was beautiful but I was too engrossed
