Prom

Karan called me. I picked up the phone and placed it in my ear, "Hello". He replied from the other side of the phone, "Hello madam I'm waiting outside your house. Come down quickly". "Okay I'm coming", I said and hung up the call. For the last time I looked myself in the mirror and went out of the room. Then I bid goodbye to my mom and dad and went out of the house.

As I went out, I saw Karan was waiting outside his car while leaning on the door of his car with his hands in his pocket. When he saw me, his eyes grew wide and mouth hanged open. I giggled at his reaction. I reached near him and said, "Stop staring at me Karan and let's go or else we will be late". "O god Dia you are looking so gorgeous". I blushed at his statement and thanked him. Then we sat in the car and drove off.

In the whole ride we were talking about random things. After riding for a while, we reached college. Karan went out of his seat, came to my side and opened the door for me. He stretched out his hand towards me with a smile. I too smiled at him, took his hand and came out of the car. He closed the door and turned towards me. Then he extended his arm towards me to hold. I grinned and intertwined our arms together. He then asked me, "Shall we?" I replied, "Yeah sure". Then we both went inside the campus.

As we entered inside the campus, I could feel everyone's eyes were on me, especially boys. And it made me a bit uncomfortable. Karan saw it and glared at the boys which made them scared and look away. Then finally we entered the auditorium and saw my friends with their partners. Then I looked around the room and saw Ananya was talking with some boys. Just then Vihaan came and hugged Karan, "You are looking handsome bro". Karan said, "Thanks dude".

Then he looked at me and said, "And Dia you are looking gorgeous". "Thanks Vihaan and you are looking handsome as well". Vihaan thanked me. Karan asked Vihaan, "By the way with whom you came?" "Don't just ask man. I came with Ananya. After reaching here she left me and god knows where she was wondering. And now she is talking with some guys". My eyes grew wider and asked Vihaan in a shocking manner, "What Ananya came with you?" He replied with a boring face, "Yeah she came with me. As we had no choice rather than to select each others as partners".

I went near my friends and greeted them. They praised me for my looks. I thanked them and praised them as well. After that I went near Ananya and listened to her conversation with the guys. She was asking them to somehow arrange alcohol. As they won't find any alcohol here. I knew something was fishy. I twitched her ear and she shouted, "Ouch ouch. Hey Dia leave me, it's hurting". "Are you serious Ananya? You came in the prom and were asking these guys to arrange alcohol".

She rolled her eyes and said, "Or else what should I do? Go around and be lovey dovey with my partner". I shook my head in disbelief and told her, "You don't have to be lovey dovey. Can't you just forget your alcohol for once and enjoy with us?" "O come on Dia, with alcohol the fun becomes double." I rolled my eyes at her and warned her, "Ananya if you drink alcohol then I'm surely gonna tell your parents". She sighed and said, "Fine I won't drink". "That's like a good girl", I said with a smile.

We both were talking and my gaze fell on Jake, who was coming with Tina. Behind her back her minions Priya and Supriya were following with their partners. Every girls eyes were on him. He was looking handsome in his royal blue blazer, white shirt, light brown trousers and white shoes. His eyes scanned the room and it rests on mine. His gaze made me uncomfortable. So I looked away. It was time for dance.

Everyone with their partners began to dance. Karan extended his hands towards me for a dance. I took his hand with a smile and then we both began to dance. While dancing my eyes caught Jake's and he was staring at me, while dancing with Tina. As usual his gaze was intense which made me uncomfortable and nervous. So I averted my gaze from him and looked at Karan, who was already looking at me. He smiled as our gaze met. I too smiled at him.

In the whole dance I could feel Jake's eyes were on me. But I didn't paid any attention to it. Then my eyes fell on Ananya and Vihaan who were struggling to dance. Ananya stepped numerous times on Vihaan's feet. While Vihaan tried to spin her but instead twitched her hand. Which made her curse him. I laughed while looking at them. Karan got confused and asked me what happened. I showed him towards Ananya and Vihaan and he too laughed at them.

After a few minutes the dance was over. Me and my friends were making fun of Ananya and Vihaan. While they both were blaming and cursing each other. We all laughed while looking at them. Then my eyes fell on Tina, who was busy in talking with Priya and Supriya while Jake was missing. I looked around the room and Jake was no there. I thought maybe he was wondering somewhere. So I didn't gave much importance to it.

I felt a bit suffocation because of people's gathering, so I thought of having some fresh air. I went to the back of our college, which was surrounded by a forest, to have some fresh air. As I was looking at the tall trees, suddenly my eyes fell on a girl who was walking all alone in the forest. I thought what a girl was doing alone in the jungle and that too at night. I looked around and found no one. I called out for the girl but no response.

So I stepped into the forest and began to follow her. I quietly followed her as to where she was going. She began to enter more deeper into the forest. After a while of walking, I saw an abandoned house at a distance. The girl went towards the direction of the house.

She reached the house and went inside. I reached near the door and looked around to see if there was someone. But no one was there. Then I too went inside the house. As I entered the house, a foul smell entered my nostrils, which made me cover my nose with my palm. I looked around and a gasped left my mouth. There were blood stains on the walls. Skulls and skeletons were lying on the floor. It made me gulp in fear.

After that she entered another room. I too tail behind her and was horrified by the scene before me. I covered my mouth with my palm to stop a scream from escaping my mouth. I saw that few girls were captivated in a huge glass box. By looking at them, it can't be said that whether they were alive or dead. I continued to follow her. Then she entered another room and stopped. I quietly went behind her and peeked through the door. But what I saw next, it shook me to the core.
