Incident

After the class, we all went to the canteen. On the way to the canteen, Sophie and Neha were continuously blabbering that how lucky I was that Jake was sitting next to me. To which Ananya rolled her eyes and were irritated. Even I too didn't gave any importance to it. We all reached the canteen and took our seats.

Just then Vihaan and Karan came. Vihaan began to tease Ananya. To which she got angry and began to chase Vihaan, to hit him. And Karan sat beside me.

Karan spoke, "So Dia what do you think about the new guy?" I looked at him and said, "Nothing at all. By the way why did you asked?" He replied hesitantly, "It's just....that every girls were drooling over him in the class. So I thought that even you were interested in him". Then I chuckled and said, "O no not at all karan. You know that I'm not interested in all these".

Just then Ananya came and while sitting on her seat said, "And what do you think about Karan?" Suddenly Karan became nervous and said to Ananya, "Shut up Ananya, what are you saying?" Ananya said, "What am I sayin....." Ananya was cut off because of girls screaming.

"O my god, the handsome hunk is here", a girl said. We all looked towards the canteen door. There he was with all his swag and attitude, entered the canteen. Jake came and sat near the window seat, which was directly facing towards where I was sitting.

He roamed his eyes around the canteen and then his eyes landed on me. Then he began to stare at me intensely, which made me uncomfortable. So I excused myself and I told my friends that I'm going to the library, as I have to make some notes.

I was looking at the books in the library, when a book caught my sight. I was about to pick up the book, when I felt a pull in the book from the other side of the bookshelf. So I looked up to see who it was. I saw that it was Jake, who was looking at me from the other side of the bookshelf.

Then I thought, that, he was in the canteen then when he came to the library. I shrugged it off and left the book and began to look for some other books.

Suddenly I heard a sound, then I looked up and my eyes widened. I saw that the bookshelf was about to fall upon me. I got scared and put my both hands above my head and closed my eyes and screamed. But nothing happened.

I opened my eyes and saw that Jake stopped the bookshelf from falling upon me. He was holding the huge bookshelf.

Wait how was it possible? He was holding the huge bookshelf without any difficulty. But it was not easy for a normal person to hold it.

Then my eyes met his. He was standing very close to me. I could feel his breadth and could smell his cologne, which was mesmerizing. For few seconds we began to stare in each others eyes. Then we heard some people's murmuring which brought us back to reality.

My eyes widened when I saw that Jake alone put the bookshelf back into it's place. Our library teacher and some students, who were present in the library, came to us. They were concerned and asked us if we were okay.

I assured them that we were okay and that Jake saved me. To this girls were really impressed and began to worship him as hero. However Jake didn't paid attention to them and went out of the library.

I was recovering from the incident that happened a few minutes ago, when I realised that I again forgot to thank Jake. Like last time I forgot to thank that guy. Then I went out of the library in search of him.

As I was walking in the corridor, my friends came running towards me. Ananya came and hugged me. Then she parted and asked me, "Dia are you alright?". I nodded and replied, "Yes I am". Sophie said, "Well I heard that Jake saved you". Neha said, "O my God he is a real hero". They both began to dream off to their own world.

Ananya got irritated and said, "Hey you dumbos. Can't you guys for a second stop worshipping that Jake. Dia met with an accident. Instead of showing concern for her. You both are dreaming about him".

Vihaan and Karan came towards us. Both were worried. Karan's face showed a bit panicked. He came near me and said, "Dia are you alright? I heard about the accident in the library. Are you hurt somewhere?",by saying he began to look at me for any injuries. I could see concerned in his eyes. Vihaan said, "Yes Dia. Are you alright?" I replied, "Yes Vihaan I'm alright. And Karan don't worry I'm really fine. Actually thanks to Jake who saved me. But I didn't even got a chance to thank him".

By hearing Jake's name, Karan clenched his fist and gritted his teeth. Neha said, "Look I told you, he is a real hero". Ananya and Karan, both gave a death glare to Neha and she shut her mouth.

Ananya then looked at me and said, "Thank god Dia that you're okay. When I heard about the accident in the library, I was really scared". I gave a smile to her and hugged her.

I parted from her and said, "I'm really lucky to have friends like you all". Then we all group hugged. After that we parted and I told them, "Let's go guys or else we will be late for the next class".

Then we all moved towards our classes. In the next classes, Jake was not present. I didn't even got a chance to thank him.

After all the classes were over, we went to our homes.
