Prom night announcement

The next day our Professor made an announcement that tomorrow we'll be having prom night. After hearing this, the whole class was cheering and whistling. Just then my eyes fell on Jake, and I saw that, he was sitting quietly, without any emotion and any interest. After announcing it, the Professor left the class.

As the Professor left, everyone became busy in talking and laughing, especially the girls. They became busy in discussing about their dress, jewelleries and also about their partners. Tina was bothering Jake with her lame questions, about what is his favourite colour, what kind of dress and jewellery she should wear, what he is going to wear blah blah blah. While Jake didn't paid any attention to her and quietly sat up from his seat and walked out of the classroom.

Neha and Sophie too were busy in discussion. Ananya made a disgusted face while looking at them. By looking at her expression Vihaan laughed and Ananya glared at him. While looking at them I and Karan looked at each other and chuckled.

The next day the whole college was in a rush. Everyone was busy with their works including me, as today was prom. I was helping with the decorations. Just then Sophie came and called me from behind, "Dia". I, without moving my gaze while continuing my work, replied to her, "Yes Sophie".

"Who is your prom Dia?" Then I moved my gaze and looked at her, "No one". She said with a shocked expression, "Are you serious Dia? For God's sake today is prom". "So what?", I said while raising my one eyebrow. "So you should come with your prom". "Sophie you know that I'm not interested in it". After saying I again began to continue my work. "O come on Dia don't be like Ananya. Prom comes once in a year and you should come and enjoy it with your special one". "But Sophie I haven't found someone special yet". Then I turned towards her and asked her, "Anyways what about you? With whom you are coming?" "Ofcourse I'm coming with my boyfriend". I smiled at her and said, "That's great Sophie".

Just then Karan arrived and waved at us, "Hey girls. What's up". Sophie replied, with a smile, "Hi karan". Then I turned towards him and said, "Hi karan". He gave me a warm smile. Then he came near me and said nervously, "Um Dia I have something to ask you?" I replied, "Yes Karan what is it?" He then scratched the back of his head and hesitantly asked me, "Actually, um, if you don't mind can you be my prom for tonight". His words took me by surprise as I didn't expected it from him, while Sophie was jumping in excitement.

"Wow Karan you asked Dia for prom. I'm so happy". Then she nudged my arm and said to me, "Come on Dia say yes to him. See you got your prom". "But Sophie I......" She cut me off and said, "No buts come on say yes". At last I said yes to him and Sophie was really happy as well as Karan.

Finally the night came and I got ready for prom. I wore an off shoulder white gown, a simple heart shaped pendant, earrings and high heels. Then I tied my hair into a high bun and did a little bit of make up.

Just then my phone rang. I picked up the call and it was Karan. From other side of the call he asked me, "So Dia are you ready for prom?" "Yes Karan I'm ready". "Well then I'll be there in five minutes". "Okay Karan". Then I hung up the call.
