Chapter 1

Episode 1

*.*

The room smelled of blood and sweat as Alpha Creed punched the back exit door twice but it still did not open. He repeated the same process until his fists bled.

"Easy, Creed. Please, easy!" Cora, his Luna tried to comfort him but he would not listen.

Sweat was dripping down his hard, sweaty body, he was very much angry and exhausted as he tried to sink in what was happening to the pack as her words of comfort only sounded disgusting to him.

Cora, holding the lantern to illuminate the dark escape room, and was holding it up for him to see what he was doing with the door, walked closer to him but he pushed her away instantly.

"Take it easy?" He laughed and frowned quickly.

"Rogues are taking over our pack and the least I could do is run away?!"

"What type of alpha does that make me? Imagine what the next generation would think of Alpha Creed!" He barked and stopped when they heard howls and shouts from the fortress.

"You are bleeding, Creed! And you are not running away, the pack would handle from where you stopped. You can't die, Creed. You don't even have an heir yet, what would happen if they kill the only surviving lineage of Alpha Creed?" She said, in tears as Creed tried to calm his nerves.

"Can't you see they staged the coup just to eliminate you? They came for you, Creed. And I wonder how they could surround the pack without our notice,"

"They sprayed wolfsbane in the pack this morning, it was difficult to get any scent at all," he said calmly and looked up at her.

"I am sorry for yelling at you, Cora, I was just__"

"I understand, Creed. Come on, we have to get out of here" She said even if it scared her as they could scent the rogues getting closer.

He resumed punching the iron door until it was finally broken.

"Come on" he pushed her first with the lantern and followed, then they raced into the woods together.

They started running as fast as their legs could carry them when he scented a rogue chasing after them. He stopped abruptly, waiting for the rogue as she stopped running when she noticed he had stopped.

"Creed! Come on let's go!! You are injured!!" She yelled as she began racing back to him.

He placed his right hand on his lower abdomen where one rogue had sliced him with its paw before he killed it

His wolf's side has refused to surface and went into hiding after that great wound and he was on his own now, fearing for the worse as he was badly wounded.

"Creed!"

"Go back!!" He yelled back at her but she would not listen as she kept running back to him with the lantern.

She was also injured but not as bad as his, she only have a deep cut on her back but her wolf, Cee, was still with her even if it was very weak and tired, they had fought a lot of rogues, before, Kira, Cora's handmaid suggested they escape through the back exit door.

The rogue changed into a monster-like wolf and charged after Creed who did not hold back either.

The rogue slapped Creed with the back of its paw; he went flying and hitting the tree as the rogue charged toward him before he could pick himself up from the ground.

"Creed!" Cora cried and instantly changed into her wolf form only to be interrupted by another rogue as the fight continued.

Creed picked himself from the ground on time before the rogue could get to him, he charged toward it this time and gave it a great blow at his throat and pulled out his thyroid cartilage; he went numb shortly and had a great fall to the ground as Creed wobbled backward.

He quickly flashed his gaze to his Luna on time to see her ripping the rogue apart. The rogue fell to the ground instantly as the luna stumbled backward and fell to the ground.

"Cora!! Cora!" He screamed at the top of his voice and raced to her, he picked up her black cloak and covered her naked body on the ground, and knelt next to her.

"Are you alright?"

"It would take over one rogue to bring your luna down" she mumbled and smiled sadly as he smirked too.

"Come on, let's go!" He assisted her to stand up and wrapped her with the cloak, they could no more find the lantern as she did not know where she hurled it to when she turned into a wolf.

The woods were creepy as the night was pitch dark, they could scarcely see in the dark when they started running into the forests.

They ran for a while as she stopped and held her chest; he halted too but could barely see.

"Are you alright?" He inquired. She only winced and nodded. Then she touched her chest and felt the fresh blood rushing out. The rogue had scratched on her chest before it was slain.

"I'm fine" she lied as they continued into the dark lonely woods.

"I know you lie. I am your mate, Cora. I can feel your pain," he chewed out.

"I can feel yours too, Creed. If I were you, I wouldn't be able to walk with that kind of wound. I feel like the whole of my internal organs might come out from my lower abdomen"

"I will be fine, Cora. I am Alpha Creed of Mountain Howl Pack!" He bragged even if he was in intense agony.

"Rogues" he said and sniffed the air as she trembled.

"They are gaining on us. And I think there are several of them," He added as they kept sprinting.

Soon, they saw wooden fire torches and instantly knew it was the rogues; the fire torches was coming in almost all paths and it was as if it confined them

He quickly turned to his luna who was very frightened now, he looked into her eyes and saw anguish.

"Cora, listen to me"

"No, Creed. Please don't ask me to go without you, we either run together or die together" she moaned as he held her cheeks in stance.

"I love you, Cora, never forget that" A drop of tears fell from his eyes as she wriggled her head crosswise.

"Please, Creed. Let's fight and die together, don't do this to me!"

He promptly looked around and saw the rogues were fast gaining on them and no matter how they run, they can never escape them.

"Go, Cora. I love you!"

"Nooooo!"

He knew if he die as her mate, she would never get another mate and would either turn into a rogue or would live mateless for the rest of her life.

Unless the moon goddess took pity on her and mate her to another wolf, which is very rare and has never happened, so he had to do it.

He pressed his lips hard against hers as they both tasted blood and sweat, Cora never wanted to let go but he had to shove her off as they tried to catch their breaths.

"I love you, Cora"

"If you love me, then don't leave me, Creed! Please don't leave me"

"I, Alpha Creed of Mountain Howl, reject you, Cora, as my mate and my luna!" He said the words and touched his lower abdomen which was bleeding.

His fingers touched the fresh warm blood as he smiled and looked up at her.

The connection as mates between the both of them was instantly spasmodic as she no longer felt his pain.

"No, no, no, Creed! You can't do this to me!!! I am your wife, Creed! You can't reject me!"

"Too late, Cora! I can feel our bond-breaking already! If I survive this, we can set this right, but for now,  I can't afford to put your life in jeopardy!"

"Creed! No!" She kept crying as he pushed her away.

"Run!! Run and never look back!" He yelled, but she was adamant.

He jabbed her away with his last strength as she flew and hit herself on a tree trunk, she immediately went oblivious as he turned to face the rogues.

The rogues besieged him as he gazed at them fiercely, he only worried and hoped Cora would not wake up on time. Else she would want to fight alongside him and that would only get them both killed.
