She felt like she’d been there for hours, when I had only been about twenty minutes.

Syanna couldn’t believe someone had kidnapped her in the middle of the school. Wasn’t Unici supposed to be safe? Wasn’t it supposed to be all rainbows and sunshine for all species here?

But she guessed not. Because now, she was in someone’s old, abandoned cabin, with a vampire and a large, large class. Syanna knew before he even said anything what his plan had been, but she didn’t want to believe it.

Mark assured her that none of the vampires would hurt her or try and drink her blood for power. But he was wrong, and she was wrong for believing him. Mark couldn’t speak for everyone, and it was her mistake for thinking so.
