Chapter 4:The contract marriage

Assistant Ray was already at the entrance of the estate waiting for Anita to arrive so he would take her in.

The place was not a place a stranger could easily walk into.

When Anita got to the gate, Assistant Ray detected her. He had seen her once, so he could still vividly remember what she looked like even though it was already late at night.

Opening the car door, he entered and asked her to drive in. They drove all the way to the main door from the gate as Anita wondered what kind of estate she was in.

She looked mesmerized, yet worried.

It was like a distance from the gate to the main villa itself.

"Drop here!" Assistant Ray said. She then stopped and parked her car right.

"Please where is she?" Anita asked worriedly.

She didn't care if she had fallen into a bad hand or a good hand, she just needed to see Lily and be sure she was fine.

"She's inside ma'am! Please go in." Assistant Ray permitted as he admired Anita for being so loyal to her own.

Anita ran into the luxurious building and couldn't tell where she should move towards anymore. Every single corner of the interior decor smelled wealth.

Assistant Ray then walked in.

"Follow me." he said and took her to the guest room...

Immediately Anita set her eyes on Lily who was laying helplessly on the bed, tears dripped out of her eyes as she ran towards her and hugged her tight.

Lily was really going through a lot. Even she could not feel the pain the way Lily felt it, so who would?

"Lily, I promise you will be fine." she whispered. Turning, she looked at assistant Ray.

"Thank you so much! I really do appreciate this, and I'm sure she would." she said, thanking him.

"All thanks to my master!" Assistant Ray said, as he pointed towards Master Chris who had just walked in.

When Anita saw him, she froze.

She had seen this face somewhere. It was then she recalled the day she was at Atlantis restaurant with Lily.

So the same man had actually saved Lily...

She didn't know what to make out of the situation.

What would Lily do when she found out that the same man she was rejecting had become her saviour? She asked within herself.

"She would be fine in the morning. You can stay with her if you want." Master Chris said and walked out.

"I'll be out for now." Assistant Ray then said and followed behind.

Lily woke up the next morning and saw herself in a new environment.

She froze on the bed.

Coming back to her senses, she tried to come down from the bed to view something when an excruciating headache held her back.

After sometime laying weakly on the bed, she was able to recall a few things.

She could remember walking into a bar to when she felt a man took her drink away. But the rest, she could not tell. Turning, she found Anita looking at her.

Sighing in relief, she stretched out her hands.

Anita understood and went in for a hug.

"Good morning Lily! From today, put yourself first. Nothing and no one is worth dying for. Okay?" she advised.

Like gaining her energy back, she nodded. This was like the best advice she had received in a while.

"Look here, Master Chris already got all these ready." Anita said, pointing at the clothes and other necessary items.

Lily froze.

"I know you are shocked girl, but that's how a queen like you should be treated." Anita said, smiling.

Lily couldn't frown anymore, so she smiled. Looking at the items, it looked really luxurious. She might be rich, but she knew she hadn't gotten to a certain level.

A plan then came to her mind. Turning to Anita, "Right now, I will only strive to be wealthier, because, only then will I be able to deal with Liam comfortably."

Laughing, Anita shook her head.

As they spoke, Master Chris walked in.

"Morning ladies!" he greeted them.

"Good morning Master Chris!"

"Good morning!"

Lily froze when she saw his face. She could still remember his face as she looked at Anita.

"Breakfast is ready." he said and walked away.

He had a few maids around. They could hear a few people cleaning the whole house, why did he then come inform them himself? Anita thought.

Could it be?...

Looking at Lily, she smiled.

After the breakfast, Anita excused herself to go check something out in the agency on behalf of Lily, advising her to rest more.

"I will come with you." Lily said, trying to stand up.

"No Lily, be here. I'll come pick you up later. Okay?"

Giving up, Lily decided to stay. She felt comfortable though so there was no point being in a haste.

When Master Chris was done eating, he stood up and went straight to his study room while Assistant Ray followed behind.

Sitting down on his seat, "where is the information I requested?" he asked as he looked at his assistant.

"It's on your desk master." he said, pointing at the file on the table.

Master Chris then picked it up and went through it. He was a bit surprised when he was done.

"Master, according to what I saw, I don't think she will be ready to commit to any relationship. Not at this moment." Assistant Ray said, shaking his head.

"If it's so, get a contract ready. I will make her an offer." Master Chris responded, shutting him up. He wanted her and no one else. He didn't care what risk he had to take.

"Yes Master!" Assistant Ray said and walked out of the study room to get things done quickly.

Soon, it was only Lily and Master Chris that was left in the building  but Lily was unaware of it.

Walking around the house, she admired the structures.

"Are you looking for me?" Master Chris voice sounded.

Lily froze at the sound of his voice.
