Chapter 3: depressed

In the office of the CEO of Luke Modelling Agency.

Liam was pacing all over his office in anger when he heard a knock on his office door.

"Come in!" he said, and sat down on his chair.

Opening the door, Lily walked in.

"Good morning!" she said as she walked in and sat down on the chair across.

"There is nothing good about this morning Lily." he shunned.

Shouldn't I be the one saying that? Lily thought as she raised her eye brows.

Before she could say anything, Liam took a few newspapers from the top of his table and then at her harshly.

Picking them up, "what are these?" she asked, clearly oblivious to what was going on.

"Look at them yourself and see what your ignorance has caused us." he said, glaring at her.

Lily picked up the newspapers and what appeared to her were mean headlines. They were speculations of her and Liam breaking up. Opening them, she saw that her fans were not playing at all.

So many cruel threats were being thrown at Liam.

Smiling from within, she felt satisfied.

You haven't seen anything Liam, you just watch. This is just the beginning. She thought, before looking up at him.

"These has got nothing to do with me." she defended herself.

"We were supposed to be there together, why did you go alone?" he asked rudely.

"Where were you when I was ready to move Liam? No where to be found I guess." she fired back.

"I don't care Lily, you have to get this solved." he stated.

"What do you expect me to do, these are just rumours."

"Well this so called rumour is fucking with my reputation." Liam said, almost losing his mind.

"You have to be more careful if you really want this relationship to be peaceful. You are still at the peak of your career, you can't let this little thing be a hindrance to you." he continued.

Lily froze.

Was that supposed to be a threat or something else. He was trying to remind her that she was still nothing and could be easily taken down if care was not taken.

"So what do I need to do now?" she asked, pretending to succumb.

"Good question. I will arrange an interview for you. Once it's set, I will let you know. Listen Lily, you know I love you. If we must be married, it must be peaceful, okay? You can go home now, and make sure you take good care of yourself." he then said to her before focusing on his work.

Standing up, Lily walked out of the office. When she got to her car, her blood boiled.

"Did he really see me as someone so stupid?" she asked herself.

She didn't know she had been so easy to fool for a very long time.

"Liam, I will make you pay dearly, for every single hurt you have caused me." she muttered. Starting the vehicle, she sped out in anger.

Lily drove round the whole city of New York like someone with no destination. After what seemed like forever, she stopped at a bar. Looking at her watch, it was already 8pm. She had really spent her day on the way. Her eyes were already so red.

She needed a place to vent. Coming down from the car, she walked into the bar.

The bar war was filled with people already. It was a private bar, so the multiple lights were dim so no one could easily detect anyone's face.

When she stepped in, she walked into a corner and sat down.

"What can I get for you ma'am?" a waiter came towards her and asked.

"I need the hottest drink." she requested.

Soon, a very alcoholic drink was presented to her.

Without using the glass given to her, she placed the main bottling her lips, swallowing the hard substance without taking a second pause.

She kept drinking it forcefully without worrying about it being harmful to her health.

When it looked like she would harm herself with the drink, a man's hand appeared and took the drink away from her mouth.

Trying to drag her drink, she was ready to fight the person. The man then leaned towards her ears and whispered something to her.

Upon hearing him, she calmed down and cooperated. Within five minutes, they were already in the garage. He then placed her in his own car and instructed his right hand man to drive hers away.

On the other hand, Anita had been trying Lily's number all day but couldn't get to her.

It was already late, she wondered where she would be by that time of the night. Biting her lips, she kept worrying.

"Did Liam say any mean word to her?" she asked without expecting any answer.

Before then, she had been thinking Lily would be at home, but after coming here and waiting for about two hours, she still couldn't see Lily.

Picking up the phone again, she tried calling again.

This time, it went through and got picked up.

Feeling a bit relieved, she threw so many questions at Lily.

"Where are you Lily? Oh thank goodness. I have been trying to reach you for a long time now. Hello?" she asked, when she didn't get any response from the other end.

"Miss Lily is with me. I will text you an address so you can come see her if you want." a man's voice sounded.

Anita froze. "OK please do!" she answered after what seemed like forever.

In less than a minute, she received the message with an address written there.

When she looked at the address well, she froze.

Olympic Estate?

This was the biggest estate in New York City. One must really be an elite to be able to live in it.

It was been said that the buildings in the estate were made of Diamond. Picking up her car key, she dashed out of the house and made her way there.
