"What?" Her mom scoffs out loud standing up abruptly. "You were raped by someone you don't know? Are you a kid, Everette." She screams at her and Everette can't help but fear her mom at that moment.

"Why do you have to shame me this way? Jim admires you and your virginity. I rant on to them about how responsible you are and you sit here telling me you got raped four days to your wedding?" Her mom raises her voice at her. "Is there something more to it, Everette?" Her mom asks calmly while staring at her.

Everette stands up in a jiffy. "No, mom. It was a mistake. It feels like…. I was hot." She stutters. "I feel so hot. I think I was a drunk and drugged mom. I was drugged."

"Shut up! I'm not your mom. Not to an immature lady. Are you still a child? You are drugged? Can't you just own up to it that it was your fault?" Her mom screams bitterly at her. Everette's heart breaks with her mom's words.

"I owned up to it. It's my fault. I made a huge mistake. I shouldn't have drank too much." Everette says.

"You…. You just stained the respect I have upheld so high. How could you? You brought shame to me in front of the guests and in front of Jim's family. You are impure. I am a woman of respect and dignity and I'm expecting you to be too. I trained you well and you just have to do this to me. Not only did you bring shame to me on the altar by getting jilted by your fiance, instead you held more despicable secrets." Her mom spats at her and does not care whether she's hurt or not.

"You know what, get out of my house right now." She pulls her by her hands and leads her to the entrance.

"Mom, please. I'm begging you. Don't desert me." Everette begs her mom. Her worst fear has come true. How will she cope without her mom? She has stayed with her since she was a kid, how will she cope without her?

"Mom, please stop." Isabella begs. She hears the commotion and screaming or she had stayed in front of Everette's room and heard everything that was said between them.

"Isabella, we don't need your sister anymore. She is a disgrace to our family. Get out Everette! I don't want to see you ever again."

"Mom, please forgive me. Don't send me out of the house. It was a mistake, a grave mistake I own up to. I regret it, I really do." Everette cries bitterly and holds on to her mom's feet.

"You slept with an unknown man. A man you know nothing about. A man you didn't see. What's the difference between you and a prostitute? You are a prostitute! Go on! Go and look for that unknown man and live with him. You could not control yourself. Just four days to your wedding, four days to getting married to Jim. Four days to get into a respectable family and be upheld with respect forever, you destroyed it with your own hands. Not only did you bring shame upon yourself, you brought shame to me and my family. Get out! I don't need you anymore." Her mom screams at her and pushes her away with force.

Everette stumbles back as the words her mom said to her hits her deeply. Tears streamed down her face, tears of pain and unknown speech. She turns and walks out of the house.

"Everette! Please don't go." Isabella says and wants to go meet her.

"If you move an inch Isabella, you are moving out with her." Her mom warns. Isabella choked back on her tears as she watched Everette going out into the street.

"Mom, please don't do this." She begs her mom. She hisses and walks back inside leaving Isabella in the sitting room. What just happened? How did it turn to this? She was so happy the past week and made the wedding dress for her sister. How did it turn out this way? Getting jilted on the wedding day and mom sending her sister out. She hopes nothing happens to her sister and her mom comes back to her senses soon.
