Chapter 18: The TIme Has Come

As we walk out the door, I find myself wondering if he is still holding a grudge or if he can merely flip a switch to become an asshole willingly.

“Are you coming or not?” He asks gruffly before continuing to the big building with lots of cars parked out front.

Assuming that this is where we are about to eat, I nod, and then sigh as he opens the door forcefully and I see about 25 people at various tables around the room. Apparently, this is a restaurant and everyone else is already eating. When they glance up from their plates, they smile and nod at Alexander before he waves them off and continues to an empty table at the front of the room.

While looking around at each one of them, I think that it is strange that they are all dressed to the t’s in their beautiful, colorful dresses and dress suits. “Surely, they don’t always dress this way for dinner, do they?” I whisper right next to Alexander as he holds the chair out for me to sit down.
