Chapter 3

In response to the new accusations that cornered him so much, Marvin became even more furious with Russell.  "You!  You are a slanderer so I go to jail!”  Marvin started to get emotional.

Russel, who is five years older than Marvin, clearly does not accept this.  "You're accusing me of slander?!  What kind of sister-in-law are you ha?!  How dare you speak like that!”  Russell immediately sat right in front of Marvin.

Marvin braved himself and said, “I have proof that you were with Raymond planning the whole thing.  It's just that you are cunning, the court did not find you guilty because you were playing with money."

Russel answered loudly, “Yes, of course!  Raymond and I are innocent because the evidence gathered by your sister is not strong.  The accusation that you are a terrorist is not only from us.  You must remember that!”  Russel puffed out his chest and didn't want to lose style to Marvin.

Russell had a strong desire for Marvin to get rid of the Winston Family as soon as possible.  If this happens, Harvard Corp will only provide assistance in efforts to provide crude oil supplies for Winsoil.

"Within the next three months, if Harvard Corp does not supply Winsoil with crude oil, it is almost certain that Winsoil, the only small business owned by the Winston Family, could go bankrupt."

As the general manager of Winsoil, he has an important role in the development of his family's business, more over he must be able to overcome existing problems if he wants to immediately be promoted to the board of directors.  For the past year, Russel has always been relied on by his father.

Russel has made every effort, both positive and dirty, solely for the benefit of his family and himself.  In fact, if kicking Marvin out of the Winston Family was the best way, he would do it alone.

Russel looked straight at Marvin and said, “I'm sorry I made you a brother-in-law.  I thought you would be a hero to our family, but it turns out you're just a jinx, Marvin!”  he muttered sarcastically.  Her eyes were razor sharp.

However, Gennifer does not accept that her husband is considered a bad luck.  "Russel, what are you talking about?  Please respect my husband.  After all, he is still your brother-in-law.  Now, let's not justify him...”

Russel flew into a rage and immediately snapped, “Shut up, Gennifer!  This is a man's business!”  Glancing at Marvin, he snorted in exasperation, “Yes, before he became as humiliated as he is now!”

Marvin widened his eyes to the four people.  "Russel is mean to me."

Derick was furious.  “Marvin, what are you talking about?  Stop you making trouble again.  It's clear the court didn't find Russell guilty."

Elena chimed in, “That's right!  You stop saying that my son has spread slander!”

By the time the terrorist accusations surfaced, there were indeed many people involved, to the point that Rock Electra's own employees had also raised the accusations.

And the worst is from the government.  Because the issue of terrorism is the most dangerous issue, the government will take swift steps and take firm action.

The Winston family immediately passed the accusation on Marvin personally, without them being involved in it, the reason being that the Winston Family did not want to be dragged into the case.

The bickering between Marvin and Russell was inevitable. The situation is heating up.

“If you still accuse me of being the mastermind behind that slander, I will never forgive you!” snapped Russel, pursed lips because carried away by emotion.

"Whatever the court decides, you're still the mastermind, Russell! I'll do the math!” Marvin rose in blood.

"You're threatening me huh?!"

"That's not a threat. But proof. We'll see who is right."

Russell stood up. He checked his phone briefly. 'Raymond should have come. Where is he again?’

He stared into Marvin's face and said, “What are you trying to prove, Trash Brother-in-law? You're just a useless ex-con. Even your own family business is limping right now short of funds.”

Information about the Rock Electra in crisis was known to many in Gloriston. Not only is there a shortage of coal due to restrictions by the government, but they are also short of money.

Since the case that happened to Marvin, Rock Electra has been unable to get a loan from any bank in Chemisland. Likewise investors, they are afraid to invest in a company owned by a terrorist family.

Russel made a sad expression and cried. “Poor now Rock Electra. Suffer because of a disgraceful man like yourself, Marvin. And now, you want to prove that you can help the Winston Family's Winsoil? Dream!" Russel snorted in annoyance as he rubbed his eyelids.

"We bet!" challenged Marvin, folding his arms across his chest.

Russel burst out laughing while clutching his stomach. "Ha ha. I just found out that a year in prison can damage the brain. I hope you always eat fish and drink milk while in the cell, Miserable Brother-in-law!”

Hearing that, Marvin grinned angrily. "You! If you dare, let's bet. If I succeed, you will have to step down from the general manager position and be replaced by Gennifer.”

"If it fails, you must divorce from my sister!" Russell tilted his head slightly and gave her a sharp look.

"Okay!" Marvin replied very confidently.

Gennifer, who already loves Marvin to death, becomes restless.

For the past year, Gennifer has been one of the less significant staff members at Winsoil. She is quite busy and mobile, but his family is very skeptical of him.

Despite all his efforts to help out in the family business, Gennifer still hasn't had much success. There was a crazy offer from the Harvard Family, but she refused, even hearing the offer ringing in his ears for months. Gennifer is still loyal.

She stared uneasily and said softly, “Husband, stop it. The risks are enormous. Are you willing to divorce me?” Gennifer's eyes filled with tears with worry.

Marvin turned to his wife and said softly, “Gennifer, trust me. Winsoil still has three more months to survive. After that, I will be the one to make up for all of Winsoil's shortcomings, without having to ask for help from the Harvard Family.”

Marvin looked at her very seriously and continued to reassure his wife with all his faith. "I don't want you to be just an instrument played by either Russell or Raymond."

Gennifer suddenly gasped. “I-I don't understand what you mean, Marvin.” Her eyes were full of wonder. What does it mean to be used? But one day Gennifer would find out, sooner or later.

Russell disagrees. He looked at his parents and said, “Father, Mother, watch the daughter-in-law of your choice. His mouth is so dirty!” Russell was the only person who had harbored hatred for Marvin from the start. He was the one who instigated his family to hate Marvin. The reason was clear, because he would prefer the Winston Family to join the Harvard Family.

Moments later, a red Porsche enters. “Good morning, Winston Family!” said Raymond, the only son of the conglomerate, Harvard. He brought Gennifer the finest roses for a hundred dollars.
