Chapter 8

At Villa Winston, it was early morning.

Marvin got out of his Audi.

Not long after, Gennifer ran and stormed out of the house. "My Husband, is it true that you sent these Gloriest Flowers?" she asked with a sparkling face. Gennifer's hand is still carrying this flower arrangement worth five hundred thousand dollars.

Because the presence of the Gloriest Flower was quite astonishing, Roderick and Russell were willing to skip work just to make sure that the flowers weren't sent by Marvin.

In fact, Roderick's second son, or Russell's younger brother, Axel Winston, left his campus dormitory and went home. From the shock. Axel is a very smart science doctoral student, as well as an assistant lecturer at Gloriston University, much smarter and wiser than Russel.

The only person who still respects Gennifer is Axel. He approached Marvin and asked, “Sister-in-law, how are you?” Axel is one year older than Marvin, he still calls him his little brother. He hugged Marvin quite tightly.

"I'm well. I hope you are always healthy, Brother-in-law!” Marvin smiled familiarly. "You should be studying."

"There are two important things. Marvin and the Gloriest Flower. Two shocks that forced me to run away from the hostel. I would give up one day just for my genius brother-in-law!”

Axel ignored Russel's provocation because Axel very rarely came home. Since graduating from high school, he has been very comfortable living independently and focusing on his studies. If you go home, it will be when there are important matters and annual holidays.

Axel looked at him closely. “Marvin, my dissertation is on the Glorisium. Would you like to be my personal tutor?”

Hearing that question, Marvin smiled very broadly. “I just found it, Axel. Please meet the experts at Gloriston University. "There are many professors there who understand much more than me," said Marvin, trying to be humble.

If you really want to understand, it would be better to learn directly from the inventor. That's what was in Axel's head. One of the reasons why he was so happy to have Marvin as his brother-in-law was because of his intelligence.

Axel was one of the people who rejected the accusations given to Marvin. He was one of the front people who wanted Marvin to be free from the accusations, but Axel didn't have much power. He resigned himself to the suffering of his brother-in-law.

When he found out that Marvin was out on parole and proven innocent, Axel greeted him cheerfully. “You're too kind to be accused of being a terrorist, Marvin. Hopefully the person who slandered you will be punished accordingly." Axel then fixes his minus glasses.

Gennifer smiled. “Darling, thank you for the flowers. I didn't think you could give it to me.”

Marvin put his arm around his wife and said, “Special for you, Gennifer.”

Gennifer blushed, but her heart was full of flowers.

On the veranda not far from the ten meter high pillars, Russel Winston put his hands on his hips and puffed out his chest. “It looks like someone sent the wrong package this morning. The Winstons didn't receive any packages. Gennifer, get rid of that flower! The sender's name is not listed there.

A reason that still makes sense. Maybe the courier forgot to include a name on the paper? Or how?

Marvin remained relaxed and there was no anxiety on his face. No need to worry because he himself ordered the flowers.

Russel came down the stairs and said loudly, “Marvin, don't admit that you sent those flowers to my sister! If I asked you now to buy her flowers for a hundred dollars, you wouldn't necessarily be able to." Russel smiled lightly. There was a subtle tug at the corner of his lips.

He immediately told Axel not to interfere. "Axel, my nerdy little brother, I admit that you know the periodic system of elements by heart, you even know exactly the newest types of particles, all the ins and outs. But, you don't understand about the Gloriest Flower.”

What was Russell talking about just now? Amazingly, Axel even understands the specifications of the Gloriest Flower, such as division, class, order, family, genus and species. However, the mouthpiece on Axel's face is not as wide as his brother's who likes to shout full of arrogance.

Marvin put his hands into his trouser pockets and said coldly, “Why would I lie? Now, please call your friend Raymond Putra Harvard! I wish he had brushed his teeth and rinsed his mouth before licking the soles of my shoes."

Russel suddenly choked, as if someone had strangled him when he heard what Marvin had just said. “Watch your dirty mouth, you ex-convict! Did you know Raymond is the son of the richest man in Chemisland? It's very inappropriate for you to talk like that."

“You are too enthralled with the Harvard Family estate, my brother-in-law Russell! If you want to survive your general manager position, you better stop being friends with Raymond!” threatened Marvin as he continued walking casually.

Currently, Russell was face to face with Marvin. As time went on, he grew sick of Marvin's presence. He must find other ways and means as soon as possible if he wants his family and business to stay safe.

Axel walked between them. “Marvin, come on, let's go inside. There are many things I want to talk to you about."

Marvin glanced sharply at Russel's face, a moment later he turned around and said without looking, "You'd better go to work immediately, Russel. Don't you already know that there will be hundreds of cars carrying crude oil today?”

“You've gone mad, Marvin!” Russel was shocked, his eyes widened. At that moment he immediately called the office secretary. "Are you kidding?" His face was full of astonishment. A few moments later he said again, "This afternoon I will immediately go to the office." Then Russel sat limply in a teak chair on the veranda while looking at the wide grass in front of him.

'Is it possible that the embarrassing brother-in-law's delusion can prove true?' he thought. Instead of being happy to hear the good news, Russell was even worried.

Via chat, he asked Raymond whether Harvard Corp had shipped one billion dollars worth of crude oil. In the message, Raymond said that he had not made any deliveries.

Russell is increasingly haunted by fear. ‘Who is shipping so much crude oil for the next month?’

When he remembered Marvin's bet, he immediately shook his head quickly, rejecting the truth of what Marvin said.

It had never entered Russell's head that this pathetic brother-in-law could deliver crude oil in less than a day. Very impossible.

“What power does the former convict have to help Winsoil? Marvin is just a well-spoken loser!” he muttered to himself.

To confirm the truth of the news, Russel went straight to the Winsoil oil refinery in the easternmost area of the city of Gloriston, right on the seafront. Late in the afternoon, with his own eyes he witnessed hundreds of 10,000 liter oil tankers queuing to enter the refinery gate.

At the office, he asked the board of directors and management. It's really bad, Russel, how is it possible as general manager not to know this news?

One of the directors said, “Last night, someone called me. He said, from The Oxy. They were the ones who sent it.”
