Twenty Five

It was still raining outside when Isabella opened her eyes. She was still alone in bed, aching. As she sat up, shivering from the cold, there was the thought of him. He needed her and she needed to lay aside her feelings as a nurse for him.

She managed to pull herself from bed and walked to his room. He wasn’t there. He was gone, just like a few nights before. Panicking, she ran up and down the stairs looking for him. He was gone, perhaps to look for his brother or maybe he had come back to normal and searched for Selena.

Panicking a little more with each passing minute, she decided to explore his room one final time, this time she was tempted to take a peak through the window.

There he was. Standing in the rain with his arms spread like it was a beautiful sunny day. Her heart shot out immediately. He still wasn’t in his right state of mind.

She stormed out of the room, down the stairs, through the front door, and took no time to jump into the rain. He was still just standing there.
