Sneak Peak: Seeing Angels (english)

====================

.

I saw an angel when I died.

He was beautiful and glowing and had gentle lilac eyes.

In fact, I was wondering where he was taking me, since we all know that whores go straight to hell.

"There's someone else in here!"

His brilliance hurt my eyes.

Heaven is such a bright place, compared to the hell I’ve lived in for the past 9 years, and this being of pure light was like a beacon, engulfing me, slowly burning me into ashes.

"Are you alright?"

His hands are like ambers, burning my skin. I didn't know whether I laughed or cried. One thing was for sure, though, he was an angel, and he has come to take me away.

"Medic! Over here!"

His hands touch my face ever so lightly.

"It's alright... we're here now. You're safe now. You're safe."

.

"Willow, are you listening?!" asked the fat man standing in front of me. He's wheezing a little as he read the contents of a case file.

"Doc, why don't you take a seat? You look as though you're about to pass out from the heat."

"I’m fine, I just had a little trouble with my car... had to walk the rest of the way here to meet you.”

He looked like a melting Christmas pudding.

He took a filthy looking kerchief from his back pocket and started mopping his face.

“So, is the mission clear to you?” he stuffed the soaked kerchief back inside his pocket before taking a seat.

“Yes, sir.” I answered briefly.

“I know you’ve been waiting for a chance to work with him ever since you joined the force,” he said with a grin, “You have done well these past five years, so I know that I can count on you.”

“You can count on me, sir.” I echoed him, trying my best to keep my voice from shaking. “May I ask who else would be joining us?”

“Sgt. Ash and myself,” the doc replied, “I believe you’ve worked with him before?”

“Not the best of times, doc.” I said, recalling how much of a bastard that Ash can be.

“Ash is just a stooge. It’s you I’m counting on. As you might have heard, this person’s got a tendency of disobeying orders and getting into fights with his team mates. He’s already been court marshalled six times for such behavior. I need you to keep an eye on him at all times and make sure he doesn’t get into more trouble.”

“Copy that, Doc,” I answered, saluting him.

“That is all.” The fat doctor gave a long sigh and handed me the folder containing the case file. “Tomorrow, I shall leave for the Philippines to fetch him. We’ll begin the mission next week. I’ll be seeing you then.”

I gave him another salute and watched as he left the small interrogation room we were occupying.

“Hell yeah!” I gave a fist pump as soon as he left.

Finally! All my effort and hard work has finally paid off! I can’t believe it, but at long last, I would finally be able to work with him – with the International Secondary Gender Police force’s Special Lieutenant Dome!

No one knows much about Dome. All we do know is that he’s a dominant alpha with unbelievably strong pheromones. There are no other alphas who could be considered at par with his abilities to smell, detect and manipulate omegas as well as other alphas.

He has been working with the International Gender Police for some years now. No one knows where he comes from, only that he is the military’s top secret weapon against alpha extremists, drug traffickers, and human trafficking.

He is the sole reason why I entered the academy and joined the Secondary Gender Police force, and my greatest dream, is to work with him some day.

I left the room and went to the dormitories to change. I have just arrived from a raid when I got the message that the Spider wanted to talk. I had no idea he was bringing me such great news!

Ev’ry body knows that Dome was no longer part of the International Gender Police Force. Word has it that he quit about a year ago after a dangerous mission in the Middle East. There was even a nasty rumour circulating that he died there, but I never believed them.

After all, angels don’t die that easily.
