Alana's POV

I stepped out of Johnson's car with my son in my arms and stared at the huge mansion in front of me. The building was so huge and I was confused as to why a man would live in it alone.

As if reading my thoughts, Johnson said, "I, my wife, my daughter and my two sons used to live here until they died in an accident."

"I'm so sorry," I said as I noticed his sad face.

He shrugged and said, "that was four years ago so I'm over it. Still hurts but it's best one takes their mind off somethings because continuously thinking about it can cause more damage than the first pain."

As he spoke, I could hear the pain in his voice. He immediately suppressed it and wore a huge smile on his face.
