I sat on the stool, waiting for Aella to come back. What happened at the ball will be kept away from my girl for some time.

The sound of Mathew yelling on the phone disturbed my memories of the fight. I turned around, noticing Delilah stitching up Nico's wounds and Nico, looking through the TV programs, completely unbothered by the stitching.

I saw Mathew pacing around, trying to sort out legal issues after tonight. I rubbed my jaw and winced from the pain in my chest.

I've gone through much worse pain in my life, that this would seem like a paper cut. But it hurt. Bad.

I looked at the clock on the wall, seeing that Aella had been gone for longer than five minutes. I stood up and headed towards the stairs.
