CONCEALMENT Chapter 1
EmeraldIt was an everyday experience when I woke up to Debra tending to me. I'd be unconscious for hours, unaware of my surroundings, feeling like I was in a sunken place where darkness was my only friend, to come back to bitter reality. When she'd notice me waking, she just smiled sadly at me and didn't speak a word. I could tell by her heartbeat and the aura that she was struggling to contain her emotions. EmeraldI can never bring myself to fully remember what happened after the stranger found my brothers and I. All I know is that we made it out alive. And from that day, they hated me ever since. I was locked in this room, away from the pack, away from civilization for nine years. And nearly every day, every other day if I was lucky, one of my brothers would come and say how much of a disgrace I was. I never truly knew who it was that came, I was too much in my own sorrows to know for certain. All I know is that I never once got to leave this room. And my only communication was Debra, the only person who actually felt sorry for me. Who didn't think my parents death was my fault, even though she was possibly the only person who thought that. EmeraldAfter Debra left from tending my wounds and feeding me to gain strength, she soon left to continue her duties in the house. I was in the house my parents were given when my dad became Alpha and my mom Luna. It was passed down from his father and the one before him and so on and so forth. Generations of our family had lived in this house and here I was, up in the attic, only experiencing one portion of it.I was left to my thoughts for the rest of the day, until the evening when one of my brothers would come up. It was the same every night, or- if lucky- every other night. They'd usually skip two days out of the week I suppose to yell at me and then turn into an eventual beating. I never truly listened anymore because it was all the same. I just wish it could be that way when it came to the abuse. Though I experienced the same pain everyday, my body had yet to grow accustomed to it. But I handled it like I didn't feel anything. Because if I cried it would only get worse. But
CONCEALMENT Chapter 4
AnonymousOnce Trent left the room, locking all four locks, he was soon heading downstairs quickly to clean up his bloody hands and shoes. He was fuming, livid. Him always being the one to lose his temper quickly amongst his two brothers. Once he was out of sight, he made his way to the door, unlocking it with a bobby pin. It was hard no doubt, but it needed to be done before anyone found out. He had seen them come in and out of this room for years, no one being the wiser that Emerald was being held in there. Everyone thought she was dead. When he got the forth lock unlocked, he pushed open the door. But something was different this time. He expected to hear her slow heartbeat, as he had previous times before. But he didn't hear anything. That quickened his motions and went further inside to find her on the floor, looking lifeless. It wasn't for the lack of audibleness from her heart, he wouldn't be so nervous. He knelt down in front of her and began to shake her lifeless body.
CONCEALMENT Chapter 5
AnonymousAn hour and a half.That's how long it took before he began to see anything that could potentially be Malena's home. For the past hour and a half all he saw was trees and darkness. But as he was nearing the border, he soon found a small cabin. If it weren't for the smoke coming out of the brick chimney, he would've overlooked it. Not smelling a definite scent, he made his way to the cabin. Balancing Emerald in one arm, he knocked repeatedly on the door for someone to answer. His heart was pounding, hoping he found who it was he was looking for. He heard movement coming from inside and eventually the door opened. A woman who looked to be in her late thirties opened the door. She was stunning. Couldn't be any taller than 5'4'' but with her petite stature, she was drop-dead gorgeous. Her cheekbones were highly accentuated, her luxurious black hair tumbling down her waist, her lips plump. She was petite in her stature but no doubt men and women could feel intimidated by her.

Emerald"Emerald," said a soft and clear voice. I didn't remember anything. But I knew what I felt. And I felt free, absolutely free. I didn't feel pain, I didn't feel guilt whatsoever. I felt... alive. I don't remember the last I felt like this, if ever. I heard my name continuing to be repeated. By the same soft and angelic voice. It reminded me of my mother and thought of her brought a mental smile. She yearned for the voice of her mom, her gentle touch, her angelic like laugh. Everything. "Emerald," said the voice again. "Mom?" she asked groggily but hopefully.Opening my eyes, I was met by a bright light outlining a figure of a woman. The figure looked a lot like my mom but the more I adjusted to the sudden setting, the more I realized it wasn't her. This woman was flawless. Long luxurious hair, golden tan like skin, face that bore no wrinkles, acne, dark spots- nothing. She was gorgeous. I grew confused as to who she was, where I was, why I was here. Anonymous He had left not too long after Emerald began to breathe. The sun was beginning to rise and soon his pack would wake up and notice his absence. It wouldn't be long before her brothers would notice that their sister was no longer there, but he had more time till they discovered her missing, unlike them discovering he was gone. Malena was left with her, looking over her restlessly. When the sun had fully risen, she began to sense her awakening at any moment. She knew that Emerald would be confused as to this being the first time she's been out of captivity for nine years. She expected it and was mentally preparing herself for the countless questions she might receive. After heating herself some water for her tea, she put the kettle on the coffee table along with the two cups. Not long after she placed the cups down, Emerald gasped out of her sleep. EmeraldFor a brief moment, it was still in the darkness. I didn't feel anything. I didn't hear anything.Just still. But then a feeling from deep within my body started to make a presence. It was small at first, and almost went unnoticed. But it grew. It felt like it was taking twists and turns and overall felt weird within my body. It wasn't excruciatingly painful but it wasn't a good feeling either. It somewhat made me gasp as it took over my body and seemed to consume me. I couldn't stop it even if I tried. Just when the feeling seemed to become worse, there was a warming effect that instantly went throughout my body. It felt calming and relieving. And just like that, I was back in Malena's living room, looking at her. "You alright?" she questioned. I nodded my head. "Okay good.
