Clarissa,

"Where have you been all this while? Have been searching for you." I asked with annoyance mixed in my speech.

"I am so sorry that I had to take some distance," Aiden replied nervously. He tilted his hair in an awkward manner.

"Why did you go so long? Is it that you don't love me?" I halted in my speech and looked in his eyes, to see how he was going to react, "We are both expecting a baby." I placed my hands on my belly and began contouring it in invisible strokes.

"Do you mean you are expecting my baby? That's good news. Have always wanted to be a father, and I'm glad you are about to give me that opportunity." Aiden said. He took me in his arms.

"Will you marry me?" He knelt and presented a ring before me.

At this point, I heard someone rubbing her hands on my wrist. I gasped before waking up from my long sleep.

"Oh, calm down darling. What's the matter?" Virginia addressed me. She wore a surprised face.
