What Happened?

“Come on, go ahead. Tell the cops.” Damien said as he walked to her.

“No, no, please. You can't do this, my husband and parents will be worried sick about me.”

“You don't have to worry about that.”

“Why are you being this way? You just committed a great crime and you are so cool about it.”

“Am I supposed not to?”

“Please let me go.”

“I am not stopping you, go ahead. Jump off the ship and swim all your way back to New York City.”

“Wait, we aren't in New York City again?”

“Of course not, we are halfway to Salado.”

“What? Salado? That is in Texas.” She yelled and he nodded.

“We will be living there.”

“Damien, I think you don't understand what you just did. You took me against my will and somehow you managed to erase the last twenty-four hours of my life and now you are taking me to another country entirely to live with you for ninety days?”

“Exactly.”

“Are you crazy?” She yelled and he rolled his eyes.

“Alright, I am done being nice. You already understand what is going on so get back in the ship.”

“You are done being nice? You were never nice to me!”

“Get back in the ship, Audrey.”

“No, I will jump into this water.”

“And do what? Swim back to New York City?” He scoffed and she glared at him.

“Get back in the ship.” He said and walked towards her.

“If you come any closer, I swear, I will jump into the ocean.” She threatened and he moved closer to her.

‘Really? Isn’t he terrified by her threats?’ She thought as she moved closer to the edge of the ship.

“I am not joking, I will jump into the ocean.” She threatened and he move closer to her so that they were only inches apart, Audery felt intimidated by his look as she stared into his brown eyes.

“You know what Audrey? I like threats, a lot. So let me help you out with that.” He said and pushed her off the ship, Audery screamed as she fell into the ocean and started to cry in fear.

“Go get her.” He ordered his guards before walking into the ship.

*******

Damien answered calls every second as he waited patiently for Audrey, his guards already got her out of the water while his maids helped her with new clothes and took care of her.

“She is here sir.” He heard a guard say and he turned to see her dressed in a skirt and a hoodie.

“Leave.” He ordered the guard and he bowed before exiting the room.

“Sit.” He ordered and she ignored him.

“I said sit.” He ordered again and she glared at him before sitting on the couch opposite him.

“Are you hungry?” He asked and she nodded, she wanted to ignore his question but she realized how hungry she is, it felt like she hasn't eaten in twenty-four hours and it was terrifying.

Some maids walked into the room and placed different foods on the table, Audery felt her stomach rumble at the sight of the meals.

She started eating before Damien asked her to and she saw him roll his eyes, she ignored him and kept eating, she is too hungry to wait for his orders.

“Thank you.” She said with a mouth full to the maid who poured her a glass of water before leaving the room.

“Eat slowly or you will choke.”

“The way I eat is none of your business.” She scoffed and continued eating.

Damien stared at her and took his time to check out his new project, no doubt he caught someone bigger this time.

“Take off that ring.” He ordered immediately after he noticed the ring on her finger.

“Why? I am married.”

“Take off the ring.” He ordered again and she sighed before taking it off.

“It's not fair, I want to go back to New York City.”

“Well, why didn't you swim back when you had the chance?”

“Are you being serious right now? You pushed me off the ship.”

“You wanted to jump off the ship and the only thing I did was helped you with that.”

“I was bluffing, it was obvious.”

“Well, it was a threat to me so I showed you I can't be threatened.”

“Seriously, why did you kidnap me? Why me of all people?”

“I kidnapped you because I want you to spend ninety days with me in Salado or other places I haven't thought of yet, after ninety days, I will give you anything you want and provide the best means for you to get back to your family.”

“But why? Why do I have to spend ninety days with you?”

“That is for me to know, it is none of your business.”

“So what if I don't want to spend ninety days with you?”

“Then I might probably kill you or sell you to some Russians or probably some people that are interested in slaves and you won't be able to see your husband and family again.” Damien explained and her eyes widen in shock.

“What?”

“Yes, I believe you heard me.” He replies and Audrey sighed, she really had no choice, does she?

Now she understands what is going on, she is stuck with this handsome-looking man here for ninety days and she has no choice but to flow with it, or else she might regret it. Isn't she doomed? But she is confused about one thing though.

How the hell can't she remember the last twenty-four hours of her life?

The last thing she remembers is going to bed with her husband, although they had an argument that night but she planned on settling it with him in the morning, so how the hell did she get on a ship that is on its way to Salado with strangers filled in it?

Did her husband give her out? No, that isn't possible, so what the hell happened twenty-four hours ago?
