911

They got to the dining and their meals were dished already, they sat next to each other and both started eating.

Audrey ate slowly as she tried not to make any mistake that can make him hurt her again.

“Audrey.” Damien called and she turned to him.

“Yes?”

“Tell me about your ex-husband.” He said and she gulped, ex-husband? Well, she has no choice but to agree to it at this point, she doesn't remember being divorced.

“Am waiting.” He added and she snapped out of her thoughts.

“Oh, yeah. His name is Charles Williams and we have been married for two years.”

“No kids?” He asked as he ate. Audrey froze as she remembered her not being able to give birth was one of the basic problems she had with Charles.

“Oh, you are barren?” He asked and a tear rolled down her eyes.

“Hmm, I... I... We both agreed not to have a child yet.” She lied and she heard him groan.

“Is that why he hits you?”

“He doesn't.” She lied again.

“Yes he does, no man in his right senses should hit a lady.” He said and turned to her, she became confused trying to process his statement and how he treats her.

“Really?”

“Yes.”

“But... But you hurt me, twice.”

“Yes, I did but did I hit you? I choked you the first time, I just warned you that way and the second time, I didn't know the vase pieces will hit you.”

“But it's still the same thing.” She muttered as she continued eating, she sniffed and wipe her tears.

“You are not barren, your ex-husband is just so useless.” He said and Audrey smiled, that will be the first nice thing he will say to her.

“Thank you.” She mumbled in response and continued eating.

“That wasn't a compliment, I meant what I said by him being useless, he just doesn't know the right spot to hit.”

“Huh?” Audrey asked confused and he placed his hand on her bare lap, she felt goosebumps all over her body and she held onto the fork tightly.

He moved his hands upward and Audrey held his hand, he gave her a questioning look and she let go of his hand immediately.

She started to breathe sharply and Damien withdrew his hand, she sighed in relief and felt her heartbeat stop racing.

“Goodnight.” He suddenly said and walked away.

Audrey sighed again and lean back on the chair, what the hell was he trying to do?

She decided not to think about it and finish up her meal, after eating, she returned to her room to have a good night's rest.

THE NEXT DAY

Audrey walked down the stairs dressed in a simple but new outfit, the maids bring new clothes every morning and it's surprising.

She is being treated like a Queen but still going through hell.

The maids greeted her and led her to the dining, she got there and didn't meet Damien.

Out of curiosity, she turned to one of the maids to ask why he isn't present.

“Excuse me.”

“Yes ma’am?”

“Where is Damien?”

“Mr. Robbin left home early this morning.”

“Oh, okay, thank you.” She replied and started to eat, after her breakfast, she decided to take a tour of the house.

She walked around the house for an hour and she wondered how huge it was, she couldn't go further and she decided to return to her room. She got into her room and screamed in fear when she saw Damien leaning on the wall.

How the hell is he in her room? The maid said he wasn't home and she didn't hear his car drive in.

“How... How are you here? A maid told me you weren't around.” She said nervously and he didn't give her a response instead, he was going through his phone.

“Good morning.” He said without looking at her.

“Oh, sorry. Good morning.”

“Where have you been?”

“I took a tour around the house since I was bored.” She replied and he didn't respond. His phone suddenly rang and he picked it up, Audrey didn't know what to do so she just stood and watched him.

She suddenly thought of something and decided to ask him when he drop the call.

“Hmm, Damien.” She called immediately he ended the call and he looked at her, finally his beautiful brown eyes.

“Yeah?”

“Please can I have a phone?”

“Why?”

“I am not trying to contact anyone, I just need it because I do get bored and have nothing to do.” She replied and he walked towards her, she bowed her head and played with her fingers nervously.

“Look at me.” He ordered as he got close to her, she looked at him and he stretched a phone towards her.

“You can use mine.”

“But you... “

“I have another, I have a lot.” He cut her off and she smiled.

“Thank you.”

“What else do you need?”

“Nothing, I am okay.”

“Okay, we have somewhere we need to be by 9:00 pm.”

“Where?”

“Don't worry about that.”

“Okay.”

“I just home just to clear your curiosity and I am going out again but I will be back before 9:00 pm.”

“It's fine.” She replied and he nodded before walking out.

Audrey smiled happily as she stared at the phone, she waited for a few minutes to confirm if he finally left the house.

After confirming, she picked up the phone and click on the call app.

She took in a deep breath and thought about what she was about to do, can she really get out of here? What if she isn't able to?

Anyway, she was determined to make the call and take the risk, she needs to get out of this hell.

She sighed and dialed 911, she heard it ring and she sighed in relief when they picked up.

“Hello.” She called.

“911, what’s your emergency, Mrs. Robbin?” She heard his voice ask and her hand shook. What the hell?

“Da... Damien?” She asked in shock.

“Yes, Mrs. Robbin?”

“I... I... “

“Roy, turn the car around, my wife seems to be in trouble.” She heard him tell the chauffeur and the call ended.

‘Oh no, am doomed!’
