Why Won't I Leave?

“What?” Audrey yelled as he stood up.

“What?” He asked back and she stood in front of him as he tried to walk away.

“Are you trying to say you aren't going to eat that food?” She asked staring into his eyes.

“Yes, I already told you, I lost my appetite.” He replied and tried to walk away again but she stopped him, Damien was surprised by her sudden confidence but decided not to show it.

“Damien, I woke up early and I spent hours making those meals and you just said you lost your appetite?” She asked and tears were rushing to her eyes.

“Are you going to cry because I don't want to eat?”

“No, it is because I spent hours preparing it and you won't even have a taste of it, it's not fair.”

“You can cry all you want, but still not interested.” He said and walked away, Audrey sighed and tears rolled out of her eyes, what a waste of effort.
