Chapter 27 – Becoming Our True Self

I woke up feeling warm. I felt Aiden’s arms around me, holding me tight, but it was not what made me feel hot. It feels like I am burning up from the inside. I remove Aiden’s arm that is holding me and stumble out of bed. I walk into the main room. I forgot to take the shirt that Aiden had taken off me to have better access to my neck. The burning feeling gets worse, and I don’t know what is happening.

‘We need to get outside.’ Sierra’s voice reaches me.

‘What, why?’ I ask.

‘We need the moon.' Is all she says.

I hurry out of our room and downstairs, still not dressed in a shirt. I open the glass door from the living room leading to the garden next to the forest. I look up and see that the moon is full and looks so beautiful.

‘Take off your bracelet.’ She tells me.
