Prelog

Just a little about myself. I am Lily May Stephen's. I am twenty three years old, five foot four inches tall, long red wavy hair, green eyes, and very athletic looking. I love food, junk food, etnic food, all food really, which had a big part in picking out my career. I am a culinary student. Culinary dropout to be exact. My career in culinary is sort of on hold for the time being. Eventually I will open my own restaurant. 

About five years ago just before I had enrolled in college during my senior year in high school my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer. Things were going so well with her treatment when I graduated so I headed off to college. At first I started off taking business classes and when that didn't work out I changed my major to becoming a lawyer so I could follow in my fathers footsteps. After that I decided that I wanted to become a chef so I switched majors again. It was always one of my mom's dreams to see me go off to college and find a career I am passionate about, food being the number one. I would come home whenever and as often as I could to visit and help out. About two semesters into my culinary classes my mother passed and my father needed me. He gave up on everything, he started drinking heavily, and closed the doors on his law firm. So I packed up and came home to take care of him. He was so hurt and lonely he buried himself in his office at home not even bothering to step out of the house to go to his law firm downtown. Before I knew it there were less and less clients coming in and the family law firm was almost extinct, he stopped showing up, he was drunk all the time. As time passed by I looked at my father and suggested we go into business together to keep my mom's dad's law firm up and running and someday be able to pass it on. He agreed rather quickly and I could tell it would be great. The look in his eyes gave hope again, they looked alive, full of spirit, something I have not seen in my father in a long time.
