The last couple days were pretty nice and quiet. The plane ride home was way better than the trip out. I think it was because I was excited about going back home to see my family. I missed them so much. I have never been away from my family for very long except when I was in college but that was only a year and I visited every weekend. These last couple weeks were fun but way to far away and long to be away from family. I was so happy to be home. As soon as we arrived back home my father and best friends were there to great us both.
"Welcome home guys how was your honeymoon?" my dad asked.
"It was great dad" I said along with going into detail about the sights we seen and how beautiful it was. We also got out our pictures we took and showed them. I streamed my pictures to the tv and showed them all off.
"Looks like you had a blast." Said Dad.
"We had so muc
With in a couple of months I wasn't getting any better my stomach is still bothering me. My father talked me into going and getting checked out by a doctor. So here I was at the doctor's office waiting in the waiting room. "Lily Davis, the doctor will see you now." Said the nurse. I got up and followed her out of the room and down a hall to a room where she took my vitals and drawn some blood. "The doctor will be in shortly." She said before leaving the room. A few minutes went by before I heard a knock at the door. "Lily, I am Doc Mitchell, how are you feeling today?" "Today I am alright, feeling a little better my stomach though doesn't feel right though." "I have a few tests to run on you, and get you in for an ultrasound to find out what's going on." "Sounds good" I said. I spent a good hour or so getting poked and prodded. Finally it's time for an ultrasound, the doctor leads me i
Just a little about myself. I am Lily May Stephen's. I am twenty three years old, five foot four inches tall, long red wavy hair, green eyes, and very athletic looking. I love food, junk food, etnic food, all food really, which had a big part in picking out my career. I am a culinary student. Culinary dropout to be exact. My career in culinary is sort of on hold for the time being. Eventually I will open my own restaurant.About five years ago just before I had enrolled in college during my senior year in high school my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer. Things were going so well with her treatment when I graduated so I headed off to college. At first I started off taking business classes and when that didn't work out I changed my major to becoming a lawyer so I could follow in my fathers footsteps. After that I decided that I wanted to become a chef so I switched majors again. It was always one of my mom's dreams to see me go off to coll
Beep beep 'ugh' I thought to myself as i rolled over and shut my alarm off 'this is way too early to be getting up . ' Why again am I getting up at six am ? ' As I lay there for a little bit longer trying to remember why on earth I was up so early I heard loud footsteps coming up the stairs."Lilly May don't make me go in there and drag you out of bed." Yelled dad from the end of the hallway." It's okay Dad " I yelled back. " I am up, I am just getting dressed." I replied then all of a sudden hit me. Today is the first day of work with my father. Shit, I am going to be late on the first day of work. We have been planning this for a while now, how could i forget? I jumped up out of bed and ran to my closet searching for something to wear." Lilly you're going to be late for your first day at the office." Dad yelled again." Five mins Dad I am almost ready." I still c
"Still looks good here dad." I said not being completely honest. " It looks somewhat different than i remember though. " " What do you mean dear?" he asked me, stopping just in front of the door. " I feel like this place is missing something but I can't put my finger on it." I replied, trying to think of what was different. " Flowers my child, the flower beds have been let go and haven't been taken care of in some time." he replied back looking a little down. " I guess you are right dad but that is fine i could work on that once warmer weather comes around." I said back to him. " Now how about we get to work now. I am so excited to start working with you Dad I have waited for this day for so lo
I enjoy the comfort of my favorite blue fuzzy pajama pants and oversized shirt. Okay so maybe I really love all my fuzzy jammies and oversized shirts Especially on a Friday night like tonight after a long week at work. I know I just started a week ago and am already glad to be enjoying a nice quiet night curled up on the couch with some popcorn and a good movie. Okay so maybe a gallon of rocky road ice cream and chocolate bars also. My choice of movie tonight is Grease and I am all excited to go watch it. Well that is as soon as this popcorn is done. After the popcorn I will work on my ice cream which isn't much left after the other night when I bought some on my way home from work. "Lily" Dad says and he comes into the kitchen. "Yes Dad." " I really think it's time to go out. For you I mean go enjoy yourself, have a few drinks, have fun, get out there and don't be afraid to get
What is that awful smell it smells gross oh my gosh it smells like something is burning but what could it be. It is so early in the morning I wouldn't think that Dad would be cooking anything. Well it is Saturday morning maybe he is cooking pancakes or something. " Nicky, get up something is burning" I said shaking her. " Pancakes burnt pancakes." she mumbled as she rolled over and continued on snoring. After a few minutes of hearing her snores I got up and headed down the stairs. " Dad can I help you with anything?" I finally asked after I stood there in the doorway watching him struggle a few minutes and hearing him yell at the pancakes that are now sticking to the griddle that was on the stove in front of him. " Yes dear can you finish these pancakes so I can set the table?" " Yes dad i replie
I left David sitting at the kitchen table begging me to talk about this. I was done talking can't he take the hint. I went straight up to my room and slammed the door. How could he? I can't believe that man I shot him down, I gave him my answer and the nerve of him to talk to my Dad and still ask questions about me. I am happy with how I am. What does he expect Dad to do to play matchmaker? The way I see it he is a client no matter what he says, I mean he has to make an appointment to meet my dad so yes he is a client. A client whom I just happen to have a huge crush on and can't stop thinking about. Or well at least I think it is a crush I am not really sure I have never been in this situation before. It's got to be just a crush right? He is all I think about since the day I met him, I try so hard to get him out of my mind. Why does this have to be so complicated or am I the one who is making it all complicated? I will just have to talk to D
Finally the night I have been waiting for this whole week. Not a day went by that I didn't think about David. The week dragged on and the more it dragged the more I got excited and couldn't wait for my date night with David. I tried to stay busy all week and my mind off of David but I just couldn't. Now that it's here I am starting to get nervous. A few mins before five and the pizza has finally arrived. In a few minutes David will be here and if he is not here he will get a piece of my mind and he will have to watch my pick of movies. Let the countdown begin. He has fifty seconds to get here. fifty, forty nine, forty eight, forty seven, forty six, forty five. Finally he is here I scream in my head. Now I really am starting to act like a little love sick school girl. Less than two seconds later the doorbell rings. As I answer it I begin to feel really nervous all of a sudden. " Well David you're right on time" I sa
