Ruthless

Dylan wondered why he was being chased out, before he could process his thoughts he was pushed out of the elevator and the elevator was shut closed. "Hello, why don't we go talk about it there? Grey said pointing towards the conference room.

Adriano took the elevator going up to the top floor, his expression was very cold and dark. He looked like he had just gotten angered by something, it was the case but he was seeking the wrong solution to his problem. He was going to tell Mia to drop the case and not fight it, he would tell her to stay away from the case and not interfere in it.

The elevator chimed open and he was brought out of his thoughts, he climbed down the elevator and walked across the hallway. He came across two secretaries and another person, and then another before he got to the large office at the end of the floor. The secretaries gasped when they saw the man walking across the hall, he looked like a painting that was gotten from the wall. He was enchanting and beautiful at the same time, he looked good and nice too.

He pushed the door open and stepped into the office, Mia was busy taking off her suit jacket when he walked into the office. "Dylan get me something edible to eat, I feel so upset I could kill someone but I am also hungry too," Mia yelled when she heard the door open behind her, she thought it was Dylan as she continued taking off her suit jacket after instructing him.

A mocking smile appeared on Adraino's lips when he heard her words, he made his way towards her silently without making sounds as he walked. He stepped close to her back and then he brought his head down to whisper in her ears, "What an inviting scene." Mia jolted away at his voice.

"Are you crazy? what are you doing here!" Mia yelled glaring at him for startling her, she pushed him away from her as she picked up her already-dropped suit jacket to cover herself from him. 

"No I am neither crazy nor mad but you are, how dare you take up this case? It may turn out to be a loss for your firm, your firm may go short of stocks if you continue on this path." Adriano said mocking her and also giving her a warning while at it. His Grey eyes met with her green ones and a sparkle of smoke burnt out from it, the hatred and disgust in her eyes made the anger in his eyes become more prominent.

"Tsk, you still give silly threats, don't you? You haven't changed one bit, you are still as despicable and disgusting as you are and always have been." Mia muttered in an angry tone, she covered herself up completely as she glared at him.

"Silly threats? do you want to see the length I can go to stop you from taking this case on?" Adriano questioned calmly intensifying the anger she was feeling. His expression was overly calm and held nothing, absolutely no room to read his emotions.

"Oh please, Do you love your wife too much that you do not want to part ways with her? Just say already and I will give your statement to the court." Mia said in a hurt tone, her voice turned to a bare whisper and her expression turned into hurt she tried to mask with hatred.

"It is not your business if I love my wife too much to part with her, stay away from this case and do not interfere too. We do not want your firm crumbly to the ground so soon do we?" Adriano spoke ruthlessly and without any filter. 

Mia rang her fingers through her blonde hair in frustration, her emotions were falling out of place. She did not look like a strong woman as she had portrayed herself to be previously, she looked like a weak, little hurt bunny seeking shelter to hide from the pain.

"Did you ever .."

"Did you ever feel regret for the hurt you caused me all these years? Did you ever feel regret for the pain and humiliation I had to face? Did you wake up one day and feel regret for treating me like a toy and nothing more?!!!" Mia yelled at his face tears streaking down her face.

"Did you ever feel regret for treating like a tool and nothing more? I guess you did not, you never felt regret for all the pain I had to endure during the years. The sleepless nights and regrets I felt you never felt any of them!!!"

"You are just a cruel animal! You do not consider other people's emotions before treating them like tools, you have always been selfish and arrogant and a bastard!" Mia yelled into his face, tears fell continuously from her eyes as she spoke. In a moment she relived all the Pain, hurt, and regrets she had felt years ago.

"You are nothing but a despicable man, nothing but that." She yelled before taking in a deep breath and turning her back to him. 

Adriano had an arrogant smirk on his face, his gaze was domineering and there was no hint of emotions in them. "Why should I feel regret? You are nothing more than the wh*re I used okay? You got what you deserved! A wh*re and nothing more." Adriano said calmly.

Mia clenched her fist at his words, she turned around and raised her hand. A slap got on Adriano's face in a split moment, his neck was craned to the side and his hand was placed on his face. "How dare you!" He growled.

"Do not show your despicable face before me ever again, and just so you know. I will make sure, you regret everything you have ever done to me!." Mia yelled in his face, she wiped the tears from her face and picked up her cell phone and bag.

"Good day, Mr. Maximus." Mia bid her farewell and stormed out of the office. She ran towards the elevator, trying to stop the tears from falling from her eyes. She got into the elevator and clicked on the ground floor, the door shut close and she sank to the ground releasing pitiful cries and wails.
