Donation

I frowned at him. "But–"

"Hop in Klara. I don't take no for an answer. Let me please accompany you." He opened the door for me in his latest car which was just in our yard.

I didn't complain anymore and I got into his car. He immediately drives when he's already inside the car. He turned to me when we were finally on the road.

"Where to go?"

I told him the address I would go to first. Still, it was awkward, so there was no conversation between the two of us inside the car.

When we arrived, he wondered why we went to the fast food chain. I'm surprised but he still goes with me even though I let him stay in his car.

"Hi, Klara. Belated Happy Birthday to you my dear." The owner of that fast-food restaurant kissed me and greeted me warmly. "My husband and I really looked forward to seeing you today. Here, accept our simple gift for you."

"Hi, Klara, happy birthday," her husband also greeted and barely looked at my companion.
