Dante POV

I was furious, ranging in uncontrollable anger the moment I stepped into the dungeon and smelt her blood in the air.

Before I knew it, my Lycan had taken control from me and dashed towards the person who had attacked her and tore him into pieces without care.

Just a minute later, and it would have been too late.

Too late to save her.

Shredding him had no effect in calming my Lycan, and as I was about to go berserker and look for my next victim, the sight of my mate falling backward, thereby bringing me out of my raging state.

I rushed toward her before she could hit her head on the floor and caught her in my arms.

Seeing as she was unconscious and hardly breathing, fear gripped my heart, and I called out for someone to call the doctor without having it in my that I could contact him through mind link, which was faster.
