Attacked

As she reminisced in pain about her life, hurried footsteps drew her attention back to the present.

Scared, she curled, drew closer to the shadows of the walls, and tried to make herself as invisible as possible.

However, pain ignited all over her body as she did so, making her let out a strangled whimper. Her body was completely bruised and was not healing as it should have since she was a werewolf, but that wasn’t a surprise for her since she was a late bloomer and had yet to shift. But she wasn’t sure if truly she was a late bloomer or she was just unfortunate not to have a wolf.

Though her family tried to hide it in their pack that she was yet to shift, one way or the other, it got out, which was also one of the reasons they were treated harsher than they were supposed to be treated.

But she was already used to it.

Shaking her head, she brushed aside her thoughts and tried to listen to what was happening around her while anxiously awaiting what was coming next.
