Chapter 45

Ramses came back soon after letting me know he checked on Katrina and Jade. They were both asleep and he didn’t bother waking them. He would bring them over in the morning. He then proceeded to pace next to me.

“Talk to me brother, think out loud. Let’s work on this together.” He said. Ramses was always my closest brother. We just got along so well, and he understood me on a lot of levels, it felt like.

Not that my other brothers didn’t, but I was just never as close with them as I was Ramses. I could relate to all of them though. I had my fair share of cool and calculated moments like Raphael, or my unyielding fiery moments like Raziel.

I could be a jokester and life of the party like Ramses, or I could be quiet and reserved, hidden in the background, more like myself. The way that I was, was really dependent on the moment.

Right now, I was fiery and unyielding on the inside, yet quiet and reserved on the outside. A fitting set of emotions for what I’m going through. Ma
